Meanwhile I am keeping my fingers crossed for Iceland. It's impressive that such a small country has such a good team. They are bloody amazing. And their captain is a cutie. :D

I miss Klojt sometimes. It was such a big part of my life for so long. What I currently do in Cantr on my remaining characters feels so trivial compared to managing a whole town. :(

I was thinking earlier today about my Cantr theory thing and how it's basically a rip-off of Steven Universe, and then I started wondering if Rebecca Sugar ever played Cantr, and I don't think she ever did because I'm the one that retrofitted her idea of gems (or Steven as a human-gem hybrid) into an origin theory for Cantriians and I'm pretty sure it's not the other way around because my theory isn't established canon for Cantr.

Also, the notion of anything being "canon" in Cantr strikes me as odd. Now I'm thinking of shipping, and that's even weirder.

(outdated examples, pretty sure all the characters are long dead)

"SALORA FOREVERRRR!!!!!"

"I love the idea of tursotto."
"Ew, no way, txR is so unhealthy. t doesn't even like R that way, and R is too obsessive."

"So are you Zamura or Amulucy?"
"Well Zamura looked like it was going to sail until Amura went psycho and then fell asleep on her. I think Amulucy would've been much better."
"Maybe you're right, but Lucy was sleepier than Amura!"
"Yeah, but not as sleepy as Zahra."
"At least he could pronounce her name properly on command and not just when Snickie made a typo."
"Well I personally think Baymura would've been cute."
*gaspeh!* "But Bayan was already with someone!"
"Yeah, but it was so cute when he found out and got all embarrassed and stuff..."

I didn't understand kids when I was one.

But on that note, I keep hearing a song on the radio by twenty one pilots: "Stressed Out" that drives me nuts. The fact that someone younger than me is singing a song about the good old days is annoying.

That the good old days means "before I had responsibilities and had to work" is even worse. Get off your lazy butt, someone else was working long hours so you could play make believe, now you have to put in those hours yourself. Then go ahead and make believe away. I play Cantr, I'm cool with that part.

That this song is as popular as it is makes me wonder if all the worst stereotypes about my generation are true. And that the chorus is so catchy that I find myself whistling it every blasted time I hear it is downright infuriating.

Why would you want to go back to some idealized dream childhood? I've already been there, done that and collected the memories. I want to move forward in life not wallow in nostalgia. I feel like the singer is like the guy who wears his high school letterman jacket drinking the crappy beer he discovered when he was 15 until he dies of liver failure in his 40s. Except he's caught up in Kindergarten eating paste.

I never really understood kids. That's probably why I didn't have many friends growing up, and the friends I did have were "weird" and stuff, as in not mainstream at all.

But I don't understand adults either. I thought I understood adults when I was little. I had more adults as friends than kids growing up. Hard working, they know everything they need to know, they have their life put together in a neat little box with a nice ribbon on top. Drama is a kid thing, not an adult thing. Nope. Nope nope nope nope nope. Adults sneak cookies out of the cookie jar too, and not just when they're playing with their kids. They fight worse than kids and have the means to do worse harm.

Adults are pretty much just bigger, more capable children. That can be good or bad.

No wonder that guy wants to go back to his childhood so much. We were naive.

Luke's little sister is going through that whole Tumblr social activist, gender fluid, vegetarian except for chicken fingers, god is dead and religion is stupid, I have a Pixie cut dyed gray and an ironic T-shirt phase. Twenty one pilots just "gets her."

This is something I was honestly surprised to find out wasn't true when I hit my mid twenties. I'm looking around like wtf we have no idea what we're doing. None of us. How did we mess up what the last generation had going? And then I tell this to my stepmom and she says they all thought the same when they hit that age.

My mum was alone most of the time so I became her support part of the time. I was aware of that when I was like 14 or 15... I had a friend at secondary school that was always complaining because I behaved like a 40 years old woman.
I think that's why now I'm much more childish (and my mother complains lots about it... ) and I love children. Everything is perfect, nicer, brighter, cleaner and cooler from the eyes of a child.

Honestly, I was out on my own at 16, so you think I would have noticed it then. But as I was struggling then I would look at these 25 year old working women and just tell myself it'll all sort itself out and get better by the time I'm that age. Well. Lesson apparently not learned.

Don't worry, when you make it into a good place as you get older you then look back and and say "I should have enjoyed myself more and lived free"

Mark Twain once said that as we get older, we regret the things we didn't do rather than the things we did.

Just to cover my bases, I get to regret both.

It does sort out, but not by itself.

I confess that I am violating the cardinal rule of the game because I am not being able to make each character be different one from another: all of them are empty and boring.
Cantr II is a social simulator. What is not working is due a problem in the society.
Cantr is like Vegas - what happens in the game should be in the game.

I just cut myself on the leg with the scissors (don't ask how). It's not a big cut at all or anything, but itches a lot and I feel awfully stupid -.-

On the good side of things, now I finally have a dragon in the hallway :)

Pour betadine all around the cut, Vega, and then show proudly how big it is, like in the school!

I had a weird irl/cantr moment tonight. Spent the night fighting three mosquitos which insisted on buzzing near my face and get me on my nerves. After several hours of desperation and slippers throwing, I saw myself whacking them with the pillow, and their shield were uneffective against the hit. Who would have said it.
