Headaches suck. So do night terrors... our birds get them from time to time, so we have a night light for them.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
This hasn't had as many nightmares since it sleeps in a darker room...
And, to be honest, after getting a kilo of flapping bird on my face, I think the terrorized one was me...
We used to have a much smaller bird at my parents, and one day, out of nothing, it decided to attack me and hurt me on the face and ear. And that one was a small one. This, scares me enough without being on me...

Playing an English character in a different-language area, a language I'm only slightly familiar with. Simple emotes are fine, I can get those off the wiki, but I'm quite sure Google Translate is horribly butchering anything more complicated that I use. I do at least run the phrase through Google Translate both ways, English to Other to English, which means the meaning probably doesn't change much, but the grammar or accuracy is still questionable. And with any luck, the inclusion of the emote in both English and Other means at least one of them translates to something that makes sense.

Grrr... supposed short easy day at work turned into 10 high stress hours with an extra hour and a half pushed onto Monday. And two thirds of the problems I encounterd today were my own fault so I can't even get mad at someone else for them.
Except for the kid (hopefully) who put sticky syrup covered coins in the vending machine and jammed it all up. Screw you kid. Everything bad is all your fault now.

Still sick and it's on my last nerve. I've missed more work this month than I have in years.
So far my iron levels haven't changed, meaning they're still absurdly low though not low enough for the hospital to actually worry like my doctor apparently. I go back to my doctor on Tuesday so we'll see what they say now. I know if my levels are still low I will be going in for the transfusion. Scary as hell but if it helps than I will take it. They did up my medicine so maybe it helps but it still doesn't feel better. So we'll see. I've been checking every so often but still haven't got the concentration to do much. Hopefully I'll be back to the swing of things soon.
Edit : On the bright side my new anxiety meds is working wonders. Only silver lining about this new doctor.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
I'm going through a rough time right now. For those of you who aren't in my Facebook friends, I got fired two weeks ago, after three and a half years of service. I've been having panic attacks for a year now, and they have gotten more frequent. I got a doctor's notice recommending I should work in one or just a few locations, with a lot of routine, and since my job involved switching between multiple locations and working fast paced, they saw that they couldn't offer the kind of a work environment that would be healthy for me.
After that I cooked at a summer camp, which does include some pay but it's technically volunteering because you have to work up to 16 hours a day for 72 € a day and pay your assistant out of that money. Even before I pay my assistant, I'm only getting 6 euros an hour (before taxes), and after that, even less.
I got mad at my assistant Saturday night because we had a communication breakdown. It was all based on a mutual misunderstanding, but now she bears a grudge against me and I feel awful. I don't know if things can ever be right between us again. I feel like the kind of a person I would hate to work with.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
In a rather depressing page of this thread I guess I have to add that I am praying for all of the victims of the terrorist attack in my city.
I understand how the people in New York felt in 2001. We got the news first, but did not have the luxury of summary.
We really did not know what was happening and the rumors of more gunners at large and just not knowing had the effect of putting a metropolitan area of 2 million into a state of confusion and some panic. You could not cross the street without getting run over by a cop or a reporter.
They were walking through our streets carrying guns...long guns... out and ready.
In honesty, we are some number of miles away from the scene and a little tucked away in isolation.
Still we just didn't know... the daughter of one of the employees worked there, but had taken the night off.
Nobody I knew passed, but the whole world lost 49 children of God and prayers continue.
Then an alligator snatched a 2yr old boy in one of our resorts...they found the body today.
It seems sadness has gripped 'The Happiest Place on Earth' this week.
It was good to see the long lines of blood donors, being fed by multiple places.
Even Chick-filet which is closed Sundays called its employees in (voluntarily) to hand out ice tea and food to the people lined up.
All in all, we saw some of the worst of humanity taking lives.
Then we saw the best of humanity rebuilding from the chaos.
God bless the victims and God bless the responders.

Yeah, Florida has had a hell of a time lately. Relatives in Lakeland called the cops about a body in a gator's mouth, that YouTube star was shot in Orlando, the mass shooting, the 2 year old being snatched by a gator... In the space of like a week. Glad my little sister is moving to Colorado and my family's mostly all on the east coast now.

I keep feeling bad. The plus side is it's making me very creative art-wise, but I'd rather be happy.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
Last evening I wanted to company my yoga teacher after the lesson and we had a walk while she is returning to her home. We saw a little bat on the sidewalk. I couldn't keep myself from examining it even though my teacher thought I could be bitten. That tiny thing had very nice fur and almost silky skin, better than any velvet I've ever seen. I think bats are beautiful.

I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.

The ceiling fan is making a noise.
Like a vacuum cleaner being run two rooms away. A drone with a high pitched ringing to it.
Ally says it's been making this noise since forever, but why am I only just now noticing it?
And in the middle of a show on Netflix. Like, there was other noise coming from the TV. And that's when I noticed it.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
Things for me aren't looking any better at the moment but I may finally get some answers on why I have been sick for going on 8 weeks now. I've got a new doctor from one of the bigger hospitals in my state. He's already scheduled an ultrasound and a biopsy in the next two weeks so hopefully I'll have answers. I know I'm tired of feeling like I have been.
On another note I've been trying to focus more on getting back. However it's a slow process and more than most my characters continue their sleepy spells, I have woken a few up but not many.
