I have heard a couple of times that cantr is a bit hard to get into. It has a steep learning curve so to say.
Part of this is ofcourse that the games plays very slowly and it can be days before you can get something done in game, or even get an answer from another character. But this is fine I guess and is just how the game works. If you don't like a slow game, try a different game.
A bigger problem in my eyes is that there is not explanaition on the cantr site itself (maybe on the forum, but then you'll have to scroll through all subjects) as to what are the rules for the game.
I understand very well that the idea is that you should find about how things work in game. This is of course true for finding out the workings of tools and machines and the use of resources. you dont want those explained in advance.
What i miss is an expanation on what the different buttons do. Especially the things that concern a character himself. With then new statistics for damage, tiredness, drunkenness etc. it seems logically if i know what happens if i get tired. For example can i die of tiredness? or do i walk/work slower? If drunkeness is not implemented yet shouldn't it say so somewhere?. Sure of course in time i can find out those things in game. But is this what the game should be about? about finding out the rules of the game? I think there should be a proper rules document which can be a help for starting players. It would give people a better idea about the game and stop players from quitting out of frustration.
The rules of cantr

This is true that you can find most things in the forum then on the Cantr site, but this is why it is encouraged for everyone to join the forum. You don't have to search alot of pages at all to find most of your Cantr questions. They are at the top of this discussion as one of the Sticky Questions. You can find it here.

And it does say that drunkeness is not implemented here

Most games are not explained very well on their sites. Thats why I quit most of them and came here, but that is what their forums are for and I didn't realize this until I joined Cantr. So good luck and have hours of fun!!

ok
well ok, i see that most things are explained now on the forum.
I guess it's just me, but i have been playing this game for over half a year and never read those questions really. I only use the forum very little. I always thought it was more for chatting and such as it's a bit seperate from the game interface. I think it would be better if there was a big button with says rules and rules questions on the website itself.
But i guess i am just stupid not reading the forum...

I'd disagree. Forums are big and time consuming to read. You should only HAVE to read the announcents ideally.
But since Cantr is nothing near a finished product, it is fair and understandable that documentation lags behind - maybe a note should be put up on the starting page saying that? Though the FAQ helps, and would answer many of those questions (when it gets updated for the recent changes).
