Re: Does anyone still enjoy the game?
I have joined, but unfortunately I cannot do much without tea. Tea turns an army of 6 into an army with almost limitless potential.
Now if some want to discuss the cons of this, I say bring it on. But I have one condition to this debate about tea, I want this debate to be centered on whether it would make the game more interesting (and thus bring in more activity).
I believe it does. As much as people hated me playing this game there is one thing my activity did NOT make the game: boring. Unfortunately, after I wiped out that final town (I forget the name) tea was removed and I was left powerless and as can be seen, the game became boring.

People go for this game because it is slow paced. As I believe, tea was giving an army of 6 power to wipe out an entire city in a matter of minutes. Not exacly 'slow pace' if you ask me. And not interesting either.

Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. He is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”

I'd say deserted towns are usually more boring than populous ones.

A valid point. But simply because tea can speed up the game doesn't mean that there can't be options to improve defenses.
For example, fortifications could be made in cities to prevent people with ill intentions from simply barging in and destroying the town without notice.
This concept already exists in the game with docks where you can lock the dock so pirates in a big boat cannot invade without some notice. The same concept could be applicable with vehicles that arrive in town.

Deserted towns or towns wiped out by invaders? Either way, the threat of invaders will make more people want to stick together to protect themselves. This will create more populous towns and thus make the game less boring.

I agree. I was about to leave but then the ones causing harm left the game and it became interesting to play again.
But it's dead again, isn't it? And yougo has a point. Towns would begin putting up their guard and being all like 'ooh we gotta protect ourselves' and that would cause some nice RP!

Except that his way doesn't allow for RP or character growth. I'm not opposed to bad things in the game (I've been a part of some). I'm opposed to his way of it.

What do you mean my way doesn't allow for RP or character growth? Do you honestly believe I went around just killing people for no reason? I always had a reason and the reason was always due to IG issues. Of the dozens of characters I played only 1 became notorious. The rest were quite friendly as there was no reason for conflict.

At least yougo was never an RP elitist like we've had issue with around here. Come one come all, never seen him shit on someone for not rping to his standards and that's worth a lot more to me than whether or not he played murderous assholes in the past.

This is a better representation of what I mean:

Killing an entire town in minutes doesn't give those that died a chance to RP, at all. I do realize it does not always happen when you die slowly either, but at least there is a little more hope there. Even when someone won't stick around for RP, your character can scratch at the walls until their fingers are bloody. I don't mind throwing emotes at nothing and no one to "hardcode" some of what I imagine is going on with my character into the big green nothing. I don't think others need to if it doesn't benefit their enjoyment of the game; it is just something that works for me sometimes. I have happily (and at the same time, sadly) RP'd an awful death or the events that lead to it, and would do so again.
Hopefully tea will never return to that level of power. I'm tired and probably too snippy, so I will apologize for being that way and let others debate the subject now.

This all happened before my time, so I don't really know details why you were banned. I don't mind violent characters but I'm against using multiple characters to carry out attacks. Is that why you were banned?

Exactly from whom? As far as I can see there's so many towns with few people and rest sleeping that that's just impossible unless you can create people. Yeah sure 10 people can do but if only 6 is awake and those 6 aren't online same time it's basically same as no defense. Attackers usually are awake same time..
Yeah it's a bit dead but what if all those 6 players of active chars quite cause someone killed them off in a minute? Yeah, pretty sure not what we want.

So you're basically suggesting to overpower the tea again and thus make it speed up the game, and then to add something (ie. fortifications) to slow it down again? I don't see what's the point in it.

I didn't play in yougo's times, but I agree with that anyway.

Re: Does anyone still enjoy the game?
I don't want mine to be killed. There is no IG-reason at all to do that. I have put a lot of time and effort on those ones and I don't want some impatient, trigger happy person to destroy that. Rp or no Rp doesn't matter.
The problem here is we have a group of some that likes the slow pace, the friendliness, the non-violence and the long term playing against the ones that thinks the excitement of hunting and killing people is the important thing.
If you are longing for drama, it's possible to have that without killing.

Re: Does anyone still enjoy the game?
It would be better if people who are tired of their characters could somehow flag them as "I want some excitement in my life" and all the murderers and kidnappers could somehow see that and target the people who would rather risk losing a character than having nothing ever happen, instead of the ones who just want to get along and build societies.
