It took me 2,5 hours to make those. It was worth it though.

It's not painted. You dye the eggs in onion shells (brown/red ones) and in red cabbage (blue ones). Then you scratch the surface with a special scrapes to reveal the undyed layer. You make it on Friday, then you go to a Church on Saturday and bless them (we prepare baskets with eggs, sausages etc) and then on Sunday we eat it for breakfast. So basically you are able to watch your work for like 36 hours.

They look very pretty, I'd buy them if they weren't real eggs. :D

Have you done it every year? You must've gotten a lot of practice if that's the case.

I don't even remember when I did my first egg. I must have been like three years old. And yeah, I am doing it every year.

Haha, now I feel old Goriath! I may give you a few hints if you want. I find preparing the eggs quite relaxing.

So took a new position in the union for my job. Now I get to be a state officer within the local which means more work but hopefully it means my job will suck a little less. Also ended up taking a second position that will allow me to travel on the unions dime. I'll be going to different training workshops and meetings. I'm excited for the opportunities but nervous at the same time. A lot of people are hoping I'll fail and I don't want to prove them right. I already had to turn down one trip, but they gave me 6 hour notice to make an 8 hour drive and still get clearance for taking work off so late. But I'll get the next one!
Oh look, another glorious morning… makes me SICK!

That's so great. I was a steward for seiu when I worked for the canadian red cross. It can be very high stress but very rewarding as well. You get opportunities to go to a many events and the level of networking you get to do is just amazing, at least in my experience. Way to go.

In other news one more night of work and in 36 hrs I'll be on a bus to Florida . SO excited..

Had reason to recall this helpful poem, with a polish translation from w.w.g.d.w:
Too Many Daves.
by Dr. Seuss

Did I ever tell you that Mrs. McCave
Had twenty-three sons, and she named them all Dave?

Well, she did. And that wasn't a smart thing to do.
You see, when she wants one, and calls out "Yoo-Hoo!
Come into the house, Dave!" she doesn't get one.
All twenty-three Daves of hers come on the run!

This makes things quite difficult at the McCaves'
As you can imagine, with so many Daves.
And often she wishes that, when they were born,
She had named one of them Bodkin Van Horn.
And one of them Hoos-Foos. And one of them Snimm.
And one of them Hot-Shot. And one Sunny Jim.
And one of them Shadrack. And one of them Blinkey.
And one of them Stuffy. And one of them Stinkey.
Another one Putt-Putt. Another one Moon Face.
Another one Marvin O'Gravel Balloon Face.
And one of them Ziggy. And one Soggy Muff.
One Buffalo Bill. And one Biffalo Buff.
And one of them Sneepy. And one Weepy Weed.
And one Paris Garters. And one Harris Tweed.
And one of them Sir Michael Carmichael Zutt.
And one of them Oliver Boliver Butt.
And one of them Zanzibar Buck-Buck McFate . . . .
But she didn't do it. And now it's too late.

Dwudziestoro troje Dave'ów przybiega do niej!

To przyprawia wiele kłopotów McCave'om
Jak możesz sobie wyobrazić,z tyloma Dave'ami.
I często żałuje że,kiedy się urodzili,
Nie nazwała jednego z nich Bodkin Van Horn.
I jednego z nich Hoos-Foos. I jednego z nich Snimm.
I jednego z nich Hot-Shot. I jednego Sunny Jim.
I jednego z nich Shadrack. I jednego Blinkey.
I jednego z nich Stuffy. I jednego Stinkey.
Innego Putt-Putt. Innego jeszcze Moon Face.
Jeszcze jednego Marvin O'Gravel Ballon Face.
I jednego z nich Ziggy. I jednego Soggy Muff.
Jednego Buffalo Bill. I jednego Biffalo Buff.
I jednego z nich Sneepy. I jednego Weepy Weed.
I jednego Paris Garters. I jednego Harris Tweed.
I jednego z nich Sir Michael Carmichael Zutt.
I jednego z nich Oliver Boliver Butt.
I jednego z nich Zanzibar Buck-Buck McFate...
Ale nie zrobiła tego. I teraz jest za późno...
