But our Dutch internets are usually super neat. I've got 100 Mbit/s up and down, fiber.. in a town.

That's good because I'm planning to come there to see the works of weird master Hieronymus Bosch. I hope I can make it on time. :)

I'm starting to wonder why I got out of bed in the first place. It feels like the kind of a day that I don't want to do anything. Too early to take a nap, though. :|

Soooo. A few months ago I went through a big stressful thing in my life, a culmination of two years of struggle sent me a little haywire and I made an impulsive decision.

I booked three weeks off work for april despite not really knowing if I'd be in a place where I could manage that time off.

And then I procrastinated. Except today when I tried to sleep I laid awake with my mind on repeat stressing me out about what if's and remember to's. So I got out of bed. Today, 19 days before the vacation starts, I finally bought my bus ticket.

In 20 days I'll be in Florida. I am actually more excited than nervous in this moment. Though that could be the oxytocin release that online purchasing always gives me.

I hope Florida is ready for me.

Just thought I'd pop back in and reconnect with the Cantr population since I took a machete to my Facebook contacts when I quit. What has everyone been up to? I've finished my first novel and am working on the second, and starting to take baby steps into wider world of writing and publishing. None of it would have happened if it wasn't for Cantr. I've created a facebook page and blog to catalog my exploits, if anyone is interested or voyeuristic.

I would have put this in a "shameless self-promotion thread" but couldn't find one. :P

I heard drunkenness was finally implemented? Far too late for my characters. One of mine would have preferred to drink herself to death. What's going on on Teregotha/Shai island? I know you can't talk current events, so feel free to PM me.

Yay! I'm happy for another East Coast player. Usually everyone wakes up when I'm falling asleep.

I remember I was really into that story you posted on DeviantArt a while ago, forgot all about it...

I'll look into your novels definitely ;)

I haven't been on Teregotha for a while, killed off most of my chars a while ago, including Will.. I do know Xiana is still alive but not there anymore ;)

I'll be updating my blog and Facebook page semi - regularly. I can't post excerpts anymore because I discovered that it disqualifies me from some contests, but that's more motivation for me to get "on the stick" as they say. I might start doing some short stories as character development exercises that I can post up.

I'm still amazed Xiana woke up ;)

You bring a heavy, well-worn blue-hilted sword up over your head and haul it
down for an overhead slash. He parries with a heavy, shabby black-hilted sword.

<Hp: 83/117 St: 56/138 Pn: 132/162 - Minor Blood Loss Sta: 130/150 (Normal / Extremely Heavily)>
A stocky brute with a pale white long ponytail launches an upward slash at you
with a heavy, shabby black-hilted sword, and you attempt to ward him off with a
heavy, well-worn blue-hilted sword, but he is not dissuaded by the effort and
presses the attack. You try to stumble out of the way, but are struck on your
left upper arm.

You use a stocky brute with a pale white long ponytail's momentum to launch a
counterattacking thrust of a heavy, well-worn blue-hilted sword toward a stocky
brute with a pale white long ponytail's midsection.

<Hp: 58/117 St: 31/138 Pn: 107/162 - Minor Blood Loss Sta: 132/150 (Normal / Heavy)>
With surprising skill, you slowly bring a heavy, well-worn blue-hilted sword up
over your head and haul it down for a devestating overhead slash. He clumsily
attempts to parry with a heavy, shabby black-hilted sword, but is struck on his
right eye.

A stocky brute with a pale white long ponytail passes out from the pain.

A crooked-toothed lass launches an upward slash at you with a heavy, blotched
white-hilted sword, and you attempt to ward her off with a heavy, well-worn
blue-hilted sword, but she is not dissuaded by the effort and presses the
attack. You try to lurch out of the way, but are struck on your belly.

You fall unconscious.

Speaking of travelling. In a month my husband and I are flying to London. I am soooo excited about that! I'm definitely going to see King's Cross Station. I am also looking forward to hearing Cockney. :mrgreen:
