When you decide to kill off a char that's the apple in your eye, and you drop all his stuff and walk away in order to starve him. You feel so bad about killing him though, that you decide to give him a chance and let him wander all over the desolated place and see if he stays alive (even though the only thing he has are his clothes). In the very first location you go to you find a dead guy, a sword, shield, a few kilos of cooked meat and honey, even a bike. In another location you find a car loaded with stuff, which makes him kind of rich. A few days later you reach a town and something happens there that breaks his (and in turn yours) heart. Two days later he gets kidnapped by a crazy woman who shots him from a crossbow and wants to make him her lover by feeding him with some... love potions? His friends rush to help him, but their ship is slower. For some reason the crazy woman doesn't lock him in a cabin, so you manage to turn the boat back, which in turn allows his friends to catch up with them and rescue him. And all that happened in 12 days or less.

Wow Alutka, that sounds like quite the adventure!
I've been working on a map and I thought how the heck did we manage back when the map was really tiny and square? In a way it was easier to align the pieces because there was no blurring so the pixels were exact, but it was so tiny! And there were no optical instruments either. One of my characters was happy to make binoculars, because that's all he has the resources for. On developed islands, everybody goes straight for the telescope while binoculars rot in storage, but binoculars are actually pretty awesome compared to having nothing at all.

I still remember when one of my chars first saw the world through a telescope. WOW!

When thanks to Cantr I find out that 'worked up' has more than one meaning.

Being alone for years on end, on foot, in the middle of nowhere with only a bone hut to store things in and after three years of working\walking\waiting finally being able to ride an Ostrich.

The last... 5 characters I've spawned have been busts - super weak, no skills, dead towns. I had only one slot left, named the character "Last Chance" - and what do you know? Much stronger than average, expert fighter, expert at a ton of things, and spawned in a highly active town.

The only thing I can understand as being 'bust' there is the dead town bit...I actually find weak and/or unskilled characters more interesting.

Interesting to a point, but when you've got 8 much weaker than average/awkward fighters with tons of awkward/novice skills? It's enough to make me want to start a breeding/culling program on Cantr.

Indeed, Cantr I was just by email, instead of a data base tracking the game movements, I did it manually
While Cantr is inspired by the Lego game, I wouldn't go as far as to call Lego "Cantr I"
Cantr III has been a long time in development, but that stalled years ago, and is too ambitious a project. And Cantr II has in the meantime had some great improvements (I love the animal domestication!) so it seems less and less relevant to think of a new version entirely.
Btw, why do people prefer to have these absolutely endless forum threads, instead of starting some new topics occasionally?

The fact that only one of my 15 chars had any event since I woke up... Sometimes it really sucks to be european.. All events happening when I sleep
Kinda amusing on a way to see how Europeans are minority

I have wanted to start a cult based around that at some point but I don't have the charisma to try and convince people to hate others based on how they were born.

Seconded. I did try that, but that character got locked up/starved/killed for smacking one other Inferior Worker under the guise of :"encouragement to work harder", after stating my goals to try organizing the neighboring towns to unite under "best workers in TownA, Poor workers in TownB... That was YEARS ago though, alas.... Sounds like a nice idea to try starting up again, Plenty of "ghost towns" to utilize isn't there?

Ghost towns with unlocked rooms full of steel and wood. Walked into one recently and saw 60k+ of steel and over 200k+ of wood just lying there.

I think that's the kind of thing best started subtly - wait until your character's in some position of power, if you're primarily selecting for good fighters you can claim to be sorting by talents, claim arbitrary prioritisation of physical strength when you sort by best skills (so people good at fighting but also other things will always go in the good fighters team), but over time make the physically stronger group progressively more favoured over the others. Claim to be encouraging improvement of weak skills by sending weak characters under-armed into dangerous situations. Over time you'd expect a good chunk of your strongest characters won't be goody-two-shoes because people tend to hang on to 'difficult' ideas until they've a strong character to put them on. You should reach a point where your character can start being less subtle about their oppression of the weaker characters because they'll have a group of strong, well-armed characters to back them up.
'Course that'd take a decent amount of charisma too but it's hardly impossible with perseverance.

Judging from the common practice of arbitrarily killing off weaker chars who have less fighting abilities, (Newspawn thieves seem to be usually quite weak and untalented in combat). Then respawning almost instantly, while saving the strong fighters; there does seem to be an eventual eugenics trend happening here.
I am finding that more of my newer chars are spawning stronger and more formidable. Perhaps somebody better at mathematics than me would be able to analyze this statistically. But without some sort of divine access, I doubt that the requisite information would be available.
At this point, it probably remains in the realm of unproven theories.
Nonetheless its intriguing.
