My parents apparently think my generic British accent is terrible, but my cousin (who watches a lot more British television than I) says it's passable, but she's also from Jersey. I've never tried it in front of an actual British person.

Floridians actually have a ridiculous number of different accents because the demographic is so varied. In the center state outside of Orlando, southern accents are really common, though I don't think they'll ever be as pronounced as Georgians. Go to Miami and Key Largo and you'll be surrounded by a myriad of Hispanic accents. Coastal locations and Orlando sound more like your typical "tv accent", some mixing of accents especially when we get a lot of northerners moving in. Then of course there are snowbirds, which can come from anywhere and sound like anything. Good luck guessing which one I am.
