Oh? I know the main detraction is the other players.

Not even that, the build menu is complete trash and not customizable at all. You would have to have a whole new engine. Last I checked Female characters doesn't even exist. A food platform would be 7 days to die. Take out the zombies, and boom.

I have to get that sometime to test it out. However, I'm on the fallout kick since I preordered it. So stoked that I'm doing at least a 24 hour stream on it.

I'm on a video game spending freeze until we finish moving house, then I'll probably grab Fallout 4. That said, we've put... Well, I personally have put 280 hours into ARK, and I work full time. Husband has a bit more time on it, and he also works full time, but that's because I tend to log off and pass out asleep on the couch around 8 pm these days. It's pretty great for an early access game, but your mileage will vary. The first hardcore pvp server we played on (an Oceania one) had a low population and we were wiped every night for a week and a half by 12 year old assholes with bigger dinos than us. We hopped servers after that, though, and joined one of the higher population American servers - and it was a godsend. This was a hardcore pvp server with trade and stuff, so we managed to not offend the larger tribes who kept the peace and built ourselves a little cliff-side base. The server's smaller now, mostly because several of the large policing tribes were destroyed by in-fighting and (very) dedicated outsiders... But we've kept on keeping on.

ARK does have normal pvp servers (no permadeath) and pve servers, though, in addition to private servers... So you aren't stuck playing hardcore by any means. But it's a fun game - I highly recommend it if you plan on playing with friends. I think it'd get boring after awhile going solo.

I just played it for 20 minutes, it was fun. I found a house, built a door, a lock, and a bed, and spent half the time cowering in my house everytime I heard footsteps. I only died once which my BF says is good mileage.
But yeah he said Ark would be better two.
I just built a brand new computer for F4, I am goddamned STOKED, and am spending my 6 days off playing it every waking second once it comes out.

A lot of things happened and changed since I first started playing cantr, and, believe it or not, I blame cantr for a lot of them. I kinda "blame" it too for being married.

Because, yeah, without "that Spanish group" of players, when I was so down in a previous relationship, it would had been worse. So, maybe we don't talk so much, or nothing, or whatever, but thanks. Mostly Faith, for pushing me and helping me and encouraging me to do what needed to be done.

Because, yeah, without "that Dutch group" of players, I would never had thought in come to the Netherlands. So, thanks, Henkie, Freiana, to make me think on it. And thanks, Bmot, for being my best friend at this side of the world. And my witness
