One of the benefits of sailing is that you can send a char on a long trip and just not worry about them for awhile. Wouldn't be very happy to see that exchanged for a bunch of micromanaging.

And on the other side of the coin I'm sure there's people who wouldn't be thrilled with those long Fu trips taking even longer because of the whims of the RNG. There's three directions the wind could be coming from that are the wrong ones, so from simple probability negative effects on sailing would be far more likely than positive ones.

I would imagine that, ideally, the micromanaging part would be those times that you really need to eke out every advantage you can get. If you're just pointing off sailing in a direction, sure it might be slower sometimes and faster sometimes, but that would still even out to the same length of time it was before.

When people die and you find all the booze and sweets that they never ate that you gave them, even though they always emoted eating them.

Or worse, there's this one person who is constantly walking around wounded (one of those people who heals "naturally", I guess) pretending to be an alcoholic but the problem with that is that we can all see your damage % staying the same.

I can't wait for the actual drunkenness system.

If someone gives me 10 grams of whatever I'll eat it just to avoid cluttering up the inventory or objects list.

I always feel like I'm committing a terrible crime.

If someone gives me 10 grams I just want to be like what the hell is this I can't see it give me 500 grams. I'm also the person who eats everything when a plate is served. Instead of just taking 25 gram of whatever is served. I drink the whole bottle of wine and I have no regrets.

One of my char's friends was given 1 gram of strawberry once.

He still has it. It's in the hold and it bugs me every time I see it.

This thread is no longer about annoyance and puzzlement, this is an intervention. Wiro, we need to talk about your drinking problems.

To the people responsible for renaming my character's vehicle Putt Putt, removing the engine but leaving the fuel. I didn't know whether to put this here or in the amused thread.

Players who are unable to differentiate disliking a character's actions, from disliking the player behind them, or assuming the player behind them must be somehow malicious or cheating.

Granted, this is a general RPG problem. But I ran into it with Cantr in damn-near record time.

Is this in game? If anyone is harassing you (as in you, the player) for something your char did I'm fairly sure that's reportable.

Wine is good for the heart. If only more chars would drink a half glass of wine every day, what needless tragedies could be avoided.

So I was lead to believe that Spawning was random in relation to where exactly you wake up. I was also lead to believe that spawning on Cantr island was fairly unusual (this might be an individual player's experience). I was definitely lead to believe that the town you spawned in was utterly random and you were unlikely to spawn nearby another character.
Can someone please explain why out of 5 characters, 3 have spawned on Cantr island and all pretty much on top of each other? It's going to be hard to keep them all totally separate unless some pirates fancy coming and whisking one off and the another heads off travelling on their own.
This seems to make very little sense given how random it's supposed to be... Just an observation...
