Sometimes a clean break is the best way to get interested in the game again - get rid of all the old characters and start fresh, anonymous.

I feel for you Snickie. This used to happen to me and it sucked every time. Basically any time circumstances forced me away from the game for a week or more it was just really difficult to get back in the mindset of my chars, and looking at that big list of white names would become so daunting I would just log out again rather than play.

Worth noting that I always would eventually get a strong urge to play them again once it was too late and so hugely regretted it every time. I guess everyone's got to find their way of dealing with temporarily losing interest in the game, but for me the solution was simply to have less characters and resist all urges to make more when things are slow. No matter how tired or uninterested I might feel, it's a pretty simple matter to just click through a few and keep them going until I'm feeling it again.

I think in order to do that.... I´m not even caught up on turn reports. I'd have to just jump back in without reading seven days worth of activity for each character (and for some characters I know it's going to be a /lot/).

I hate doing that but I think reading the logs would just put me off even more.

Of course, I need to actually be motivated to click on one of those little white names first...

I'm still trying to recover from a playing lull. It happens. I haven't woken up all my chars yet but I selfishly don't want to lose them. There was just too much regret the last time I let all my chars die. Out of the ones that are awake again, some are doing much better than before and some are just kind of going through the motions still. A couple of them made me realize that their dismal situations before were part of the reason I lost interest and the issues caused by a long period of sleep actually worked out in the end to give them a better life. I debate almost daily about letting one or two go, and some of those sleeping I still want to wake up eventually.

Sorry to hear Snicks. Read one char, have a break then the next? Smaller, manageable bites.

I've walked into a few walls of text and started swearing in a few languages, sighed, checked the filters for absolutely critical stuff then sat down and went through by bits. It took a while, but it was worth it.

Or copy paste into a word doc and read as dead trees, noting down what you should respond to? That can help for big, big things.

Just waking up and going 'Weird! Such a deep sleep, I can't remember a thing!' is always an option too if the logs are just too much to deal with. Make other people fill you in on the important stuff.

I never feel connected enough to the surroundings of most characters to care what went on when they were not active. Just skip it.

Woke up 3 characters today. Didn't bother to read through stuff for two of them and the one that I did was just animal attacks like I was expecting.

We'll see if I can manage to wake up the rest in the next few days but don't expect much anyway.

It's weirdly difficult to come back from a long sleepiness. I had to take a break when my granma was hospitalized a couple of months ago, and I can't wake up some of my chars still. Guess I should let them die if I can't feel in the mood to roleplay them properly anymore. Or give them a last chance with a change in their boring sleep-working lives. Such a lazyness just to think about it...

Has anyone tried Windows 10 yet? I'm curious as to how we feel about the new Microsoft Edge browser. I was expecting another Internet Explorer experience (only useful for downloading other browsers), but now that I've been using it for a day, it's officially my preferred browser. It doesn't use nearly as much RAM as Chrome (which uses multiple processes to make the experience smoother), and it still manages to be much faster. It looks clean and modern. I love it. I'm still trying to decide if I like Windows 10 as a whole, but at least it has this neat browser

I have win 10 on virtual box (for testing before I decide will I take it really) and so far I myself like it. Unlike win 8 which must be the crappiest windows of all the time. However even it's still better and much like win 7 I wouldn't recommend getting it yet, there's lot of bugs (some causes BSOD) and it's unfinished still. Even more so if you have games since most likely some won't run yet

As for Microsoft Edge browser.. Well it's way better than IE was (damn time for it to die away) and it works pretty smoothly so far , specially since my virtual machine is kinda running on 1 GHz processor. I just miss that all google accounts are easy to log in, but that's really just what people prefer

I understand there are some privacy issues with W10. Unless you change a lot of settings you will have yet another big brother watching over your shoulder, after Facebook, Google and NSA/Spies United.
I will avoid using it as long as i can.

Everyone spies you now days and I don't myself care if NSA spies me, I'm not american so... if they want to know what I play sure go ahead

Really, people have spied on each through history, it's just way easier now days with technology and people really make it even easier when they post so much personal information on internet.. Wouldn't be that hard to hijack someone identity really anymore, seen some even posting their bank accounts on facebook so yeah...

I never walk out on a movie, but Pixels was just terrible. If I had known it was another stupid Adam Sandler movie I would've saved my money. It sounded so cool too.
