Most people who knew him probably wouldn't wish for him back, but I miss playing Nikephoros Artemisios. Real life killed him, unfortunately.

Most of them - especially the traders.
I miss my fucked up little Stone Knight who was basically imprisoned for 10 years of his life and spent the rest of it depressed and broken.
I miss my Klojt-based trader who ended up with several ships, a ton of vehicles, and a nice apartment after avoiding getting murdered by hillbilly crazies 3-4 times while on expedition.
I miss my newspawn who spawned in a swamp while some travelers were passing through, and was left there alone with a bunch of aggressive animals and no food - who managed to survive to get to another town, and then another town, until he reached the coast, jumped on an abandoned raker, and sailed to Fu, where he became a pirate hunter who amassed a pretty decent fortune, killed a few pirates, and took over their bigger and better ships. (A radio receiver and transmitter in every cabin! Geez.)
I miss one of my first characters on Cantr - terrible at combat, strong, spawned on Aki island during the reign of that one Queen, in her kingdom. Entire kingdom was murdered by three foreigners from who-knows-where, except for my character and another one. Struggled to survive on the empty island afterwards, built a boat together, and sailed off.
I miss my newspawn who spawned on Fu as travelers were passing through (am I the only one who really loves this when it happens?) and had to fight her way without a shield, or food, or clothing, through a hostile animal-infested wilderness. She found a longboat along the coast that was unlocked and sailed that down to a town, where she stayed awhile, totally feral and incapable of language at this point. No name, nothing. Eventually heads off into the mountains again, followed by some guy who decided crazy feral wild-woman was attractive. Started to build a little home when random explorers intruded on her territory. Killed one with a bone spear before the other one, utterly horrified, murdered her on the road with a steel sabre.
I miss my hillbilly murder cult in the mountains.
I miss my retarded Macgregor who thought he was a whale.
I miss my short-lived attempt to play a diplomat and bureaucrat - turns out nobody likes red tape.
What else...

I found some notes he'd written not too long ago.
...interesting guy, but uh, yeah. Can't say I'd have missed him if any of my chars had known him.

I'm sure a lot of them were annoying as hell - and a few of the others were loners. You probably interacted with a few.
Edit: I totally forgot about my Naronian Republic soldier who was sort of retarded, but everyone humored him.

Re: Which of your dead characters do you miss?
I've been regretting the loss of one of my favourite characters from my last go round. Kili Blackrock.
Spawned in Karnon Forest, at the time the home to the Blackrocks, he fitted in quite quickly with them. Even earned some respect from the Rau herself in his short life. He was young, cocky, ambitious, and madly in love, and he had what I was sure was one hell of a future ahead of him.
Real life events forced my hand with this one, but having come back again, this loss does sting a bit. Gone too soon.

Kvothe DeDannon and Captain Taylor from many RL years ago... They are the only two I really even remember well from when I played back then. I truly miss playing them.

My characters didn't know Kvothe very well, but apparently I still have some turn reports from him. One of my characters saw him in the late 2000s, and then in the early 3000s another character of mine saw Taef and Cahal drag his dead body to shore at Kwor Beach.

That's a name I haven't heard in a long time. I'm so sorry we were unable to continue your legacy. I played Anthony DeDannon. He and Taef were the last two of the clan, and we were picked off by random travelers. We didn't even have the honor of being squashed by the Blackrocks.

Re: Which of your dead characters do you miss?
I definitely remember Taef! Which is surprising since I don't even remember most of my own character's names besides those two I mentioned from back then. I hate that all of the DeDannons are dead. I always wondered if one of my characters would run into one of them. I suppose I know the answer to that now...
