Someone is wondering why all of their friends die on them.

Someone is enjoying the visit of this awesome character.

Someone is thinking that guy that just drove through town is rude and probably up to something malicious.

And they're all about the exact same, slightly bi-polar person.

I don't know why, but this is totally making me laugh.

I'd click that buzzfeed. There's a randomiser floating about somewhere, taking adjectives, verbs and actions and making titles. Best was, 10 kettles that'll make you laugh every time.

We need screenshots of the game too, kind of like the iPhone text message screenshots. :D

For all the trouble it takes to get them, there are not nearly enough things that can be made using gems.

It's kind of a catch-22. No one has gems, no need to add uses; and vice-versa.

I'd still be very interested in knowing something about how long it takes to level up fighting. It's a lot of bother if the improvement is so incremental I'll never get there anyway.

Increasing strength or fighting skill is something a few of my chars will strive for, and something that can be fun to RP around, but realistically not something I as a player ever expect to actually happen.

Just whack daily for next 200 days maybe you will see some progress ;)

Seen character go up from novice to efficient after .... maybe a year of one whack a day? But hasn't since then, and it's about 4 years later. Also had a jump in skill levels after 5 hours on a task, so he must've spawned at the very high end of novice in both. If that's how it works.

I am curious, whether there's a skill increase chance/tiny gain, for defending from attacks as well. Means those dudes who pick up a stick, scream and whack themselves in the face with it are doubling their gain.

I have no idea what the best methods of increasing fighting skill and strength are, but...

I have a char who spawned at the high end of novice-level hunter, average strength.

After minimal hunting, he achieved efficient skill level, then hunted daily and hit STA in late twenties.

He then hunted 75% of days for the next 30 IG years, and has achieved expert-level in the skill and MSTA strength level (the latter - going from STA to MSTA - took almost the full 30 years). He's done some light sparring as well, but best guess is only about 50 times total in his lifetime. So that would have contributed to the strength, but at what proportion would be difficult to say.

And presumably he still has a way to go to max out. No idea if it works this way, but if:

MWTA - 0-20
WTA - 21-40
AS - 41-60
STA - 61-80
MSTA - 81-100

Then he would be at about 81 right now. And there may be a law of diminishing returns as well, i.e. the higher you go the less improvement you get from each strength-enhancing activity.

Again, a lot of assumptions in there I have no idea whether they are valid against the actual system design.
I kill threads. It's what I do.

it'd be so nice you could have all the materials for a second horse carriage with you, if you ever make anywhere between 1 to 3 friends :D

No need for a carriage, just put little wheels on their hooves.
