helpless characters
in the beginning of the game your character can not attack another character, but another character acan attack you, i find this very unfair. either making it where new characters can attack in teh beggining or other characters cant attack new characters is a good idea.
If nothing sticks to taflon, then how does taflon stick to the pan?

Exactly. It shouldn't be noticeable to the general run of people.
I'd ask WHY exactly you had any need to attack anyone immediately, but you'd presumably be breaking the 4-day rule if you answered.
(And you spelt Teflon wrong. And I'm not going to explain how it works. Even though it's quite simple. I'm too lazy.)

I can't imagine any reasons why you'd want to fight in your first couple of days that wouldn't be completely OOC; generally your focus should be on talking to people and gathering food. Even if you're attacked as a newspawn, the only excuse I can think of for wanting to attack someone that soon, being able to hit someone back with your bare fists won't do much good anyway.

Well, if there was another totally unarmed person who was out of his no-attack period who decided to dominate the newspawn by punching them down untill trying to fight him once they can attack would be suicide...the restriction could be a probem.
Or if you spawned and had the incredible luck to se a sabre lying around...grabbing it, mauling everyone who could hurt you, and running away could (easily) be IC, but you couldn't do it.

What if you spawned in the middle of a 1 sheriff/2 citizens/4 pirates scenario and the citizens decided to trust you as a matter of desperation? The earliest I've gotten heavy weaponry was on day 2 as deputy sheriff. I've also seen day-old newspawns given such weaponry twice during the past while, one being appointed sheriff during the 'King Gunther versus Klojt" incident.
Not every town is like Tircqi, Siom or Krif.
I believe that if this limit is to be imposed, then it should be ooc/ic common knowledge as to exactly how long the period lasts. One should know one's own strength, yes?
