Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
Okay... Day 1.
-I am thankful for a wonderful and an incredible daughter who is having a birthday today.
- On that note, I am thankful for Apple Pie bread pudding and ice cream.
-I am thankful for the sun today, it came out and shined bright and warmed our spirits and souls.
-I am thankful for all of the visiting family that showed up the past few days.
-I am thankful for my many friends that the green world has bestowed upon me.
-I am thankful for the many blessings that God has bestowed upon me. Even when the times are bad, I know I am not walking alone.
-I am thankful for all of the good things I am forgetting to list today and thankful that all of the bad ones will pass.
-I am thankful that good times happened, I could dwell on the fact that they are over, but I am thankful that we can all move on and make the next day better than the one before it.
- I am thankful for everyone who reads this, you are all a part of my world and you all have made me smile at least once today.
Be well,
Ally

People that tell me to smile need to get their teeth smashed in. That's my positive contribution of the day. That said, I did smile at the post above mine.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
So, I'm in the board of a student society. Super awesome, I have a lot of fun (and way too little sleep) and learn a thousand things a day. But sometimes it is SO frustrating. We're currently trying to reach all our member to ask them some simple questions, and so far, out of the 20 people we called, 4 picked up the phone.
Luckily I can play Cantr while waiting for people to (not) pick up the phone!

Not sure how true this is for your location, but you might get better results by texting them the questions (when applicable, of course) rather than calling.

Day 2.
-I am thankful certain family members are still alive.
-I am thankful that I am not under arraignment for the mysterious demise(s) of certain family members.
-I am thankful that handguns are very loud and would alert neighbors
-I am thankful for hidden bottles of booze
-I am thankful that I made at least one person smile.
-I am thankful that fences make good neighbors
-Did I mention hidden bottles of booze? Okay, I am thankful that they are not empty, yet.
-I am thankful for friends who answer the phone.
-I am thankful that I made it though 2 days!

It made me smile too Alladinsane.
I've actually been writing three things I'm thankful for every day in my (electronic) journal for over a few years now, and it's nice.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
Today marks the day of the passing of a beloved family member. My beloved six year old desktop has finally decided to ALT+F4 its own life today. It did not go alone, it took my cherished one year old SSD with it in a fit of suicidal rage.
Memorials will be held in two hours. Attendees will be asked to bring explosives, as all long lived equipment should be sent off with a bang of glory!
On a happier note, I would like to announce the birth of a new baby desktop. It has a lot to live up to, but I think it will be up to the task.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
I remember not so long ago, people used to use YIM for communications. Now hardly anyone logs in, instead everybody is on Facebook, which often involves revealing intimate parts of your life to strangers. I have 84 Facebook friends, out of which I chat with maybe 6 nowadays. Some people never log in. At least 16 of them I only added because they play the same games I do and I needed 3 people to advance to the next level. I culled some people today, some were from Facebook games and two were from FTO.

I'll never get used to people voluntarily plastering their real names, locations, and embarrassing pictures of everything they do all over the internet for anyone to see. And every time someone mentions this I think of this.

Amber, you're one of the few people who actually replies when I message them, so no.

Rebma comes from Amber? Why do I never get those things??
(One of my oldest internet friends had his nick that way too and it took me like 5 or 6 years to notice... So I needed 2 or 3 more for Rebma xDDD)
