Excellent for something to be done with pumpkins :D Only a shame these recipes weren't around when Thomasina was alive :P

Seems like lots of hard work's been going on while I've not been playing, much thanks to the people involved :3

Now that is a shame. It's a delicacy in some cultures, you know!

And really, I want a character to start a ranch and loudly advertise their horse meat and...glue, if only to troll all these characters who've been happily hunting and eating horses for decades and are now suddenly acting like they're these beautiful sensitive creatures who should not be harmed.

Pilot doesn't want horse meat in the game. I've eaten horse in real life and I don't understand why it's such a taboo. People should just try it, it's delicious. But if there aren't going to be any recipes for it, then killing a horse should at least give regular meat. I think it would be also good if it gave horsehair, and that would be required to make stringed instruments like violins.

I really don't see how eating horse is any different from eating cows or sheep or pigs...especially the latter, since IRL pigs are smarter than dogs.

If it has muscles someone probably finds it delicious :3 Horses though at least should be fairly meat-efficient unlike smaller animals.

I'm pretty sure the not-eating-horses taboo has been around in game since the date started with '1' though.

Well I don't know, I've never seen a law against hunting horses and I've always seen people hunting them along with everything else and throwing everything in the mystery meat pile with the other animal parts.

I don't think horse meat will ever actually be popular because Cantrians can be so sentimental in that special OOC way, but I just think if you go through the trouble of taming them and they start breeding faster than you can sell or care for, you should have an option of getting some kind of special meat from them just like any of the other domesticated animal.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horse_meat Cantrians can call it sakura if it's literally just the name 'horse meat' that's making people balk. (Or if someone can figure out what the Mongolian word is because it's popular there too...)

I've eaten rattlesnake irl, but I wouldn't expect to have a category for it. All sorts of things go into the bush meat pile after hunting, undistinguished, and that's fine. Domestication should only produce special meats that can be featured ingredients with wide appeal.

My second character spawned in a place without horses where the laws were very bizarrely specific about not hunting 'the horses' (on account of their beauty/majestic-ness etc) and hadn't been updated in maaany decades (hence the actual absence of horses). A ridable horse would have been super useful for her in her first decade.

We have murder in game, how could horse meat possibly be more objectionable than that? But I think Sanchez has hit the nail on the head here.

They could just produce beef. I'm too much of a vegetarian to spend time researching you guys' murder recipes anyway.

Feel like we're missing an important one here:
