Was traveling in the mountains recently and came across some notes written by Frok Munsit, who is...maybe not dead, but I assume he is. I remember meeting him with one of my old characters and was just wishing more had came of that as they had had similar desires to build up their towns and make alliances and all that. Either way it's impressive to see the effort he put in, and just want to say it always makes me happy to see someone putting location descriptions in buildings to use.

Poppy (mine) and Vanarkin

They had an exciting life on Haven, but time ended for both.

I hardly knew either, but what was their story post-Basil? Did they die together?

Well.. Poppy left a diary, so maybe that will be found one day..
In short: They married soon after Poppy fled from Basil, with Vanarkin following her a few days later. He confessed his love for her and they fell madly in love. Building their boat and their house, travelling and trading over the Haven-islands together. After many years living their happy lives Vanarkin grew more and more sleepy. Poppy gave up on him, and apparently died just a few days before him. He had a heartattack.

How long ago was all this? Just curious... I've seen other mentions of Basil Brush on the board but still find cf it hard to believe anything interesting could ever happen there... :P

Iri Holl - Queen of Port Sierra, the one who did so much for that town, and cared for everyone equally. I severely regret my split second decision which resulted in this character's death, but we both know that we couldn't not have just sat there and watched what was happening. An honourable death, but no less painful.

Paul Paulsen - Where do I even start? A font of knowledge and a part of Cantr's living history, not a great man just because his map of Omeo, but because he was the gentlest soul I've ever met in the game. Their companionship and love, which spanned over several decades, and involved visiting many islands, was so comfortable, and I'm genuinely sorry that they had that single argument, which was thankfully resolved soon after. How I wish their trip was a little longer, which would mean that you would not have been in the harbour on that day, and taken and killed by a couple of cowards, who also killed Iri.

Thanks for remembering Paul. I'm so sorry that Paul's decision to go into the the harbour not only caused his death, but Iri's as well. And probably a lot of grief for the other inhabitants in town. My deepest apologies!

Rymke
She didn't want to live on anymore. After the betrayal of her first love Jebediah, that secretly had another woman for many years, her heart broke. Plunging herself in many! relationships and one night stands (Malus, Noom, ......) and covering herself in jewels in an attempt to heal her heart.
Started her life as a courtesan in Pok Harbour, had a rough adventure with one of her first clients West, who captured her on his boat. Lucky she managed to escape.
Always had such a laugh with her sister Sapphire and her alter ego lady Blue, who managed to seduce many men just to give them an experience of a lifetime, just not how they expected or hoped..
Lived many years in the relative quiet of the eastern forest of Blojt with her family and Joshua Potato. Always cared about her family, tried keeping them out of trouble. Tried to provide a safe haven for people with a different moral standard. She loved her treasure hunting trips to shake things up every now and then. And ended up in her party van filled with a bunch of young boys, loving every minute. Finding some peace with them, Sam who was always there for her and her boyfriend Torres. In the end gave away her stuff and vehicles before she killed herself with the help of her family.

One of the ones closes to me.. and I will miss her immensely!!!

Should have been four days by now...

Lori of Cape Kerena
Probably my favourite of my own characters. Somehow managed to survive well into her forties despite being reckless and overly trusting. Had a love/hate relationship with the island's bears and built roads and a radio that will hopefully give Cape Kerena another chance at life. Thanks Dedrick and the people of Omeo (Laila especially) for showing her that not everything crumbled away while she was wandering the wilder parts of the island.

Kieran of Longbeach
Heard the sleep demon in the east speak to him as he slept within a day of spawning and it never left him or his people alone. Maggie and Dan were really awesome, kept him pointed in the right direction, and of all my characters' attachments his to Maggie was the strongest. Longbeach had some really awesome moments and some really great neighbours (my apologies to the people of Port Gallagher for the mangled attempts at emoting in Polish :/).

Thomasina-Louise of Scarab Haunt
Oddly spawned almost exactly where Kieran imagine the demon to be, and maybe I was a bit too subtle about it but she was something of a demon herself. She was unambitious enough that she never made it obvious though, and rather too reliant on the people around her to go making enemies of them. It was interesting to play a visually impaired character, and worked out better than I'd expected.

Beck of Luan
Plenty of ambition in him and some of Lori's recklessness, but being completely lacking in focus and ability to plan he never got far. Seemed like a cool bunch he spawned with.

So yeah, that's my lot. I'll probably return some time 'cause the green will undoubtedly call to me again when I have more time on my hands.
