Things that annoy or puzzle you about Cantr

Cantr Enhanced adds a LIST button to the bottom of Objects page that allows stripping out all the unnecessary stuff and shows just plain text.

I've never had that problem with making lists in Cantr, before changes or now.

It could be the combination of browser/text software you are using that is making it more difficult than it needs to be. If you are using a word(like) editor that copies formatting as well, that could be the problem. If you -must- use such a thing for copying lists, then copy them with the "don't use source formatting" option.


Also, as mentioned there are other options available as well.

I never did either until long descriptions got added for things like every item of clothing etc.

I still just c/p and edit it.
Its a bit more time consuming, but hardly worth raising the cockles of annoyance.

I'm not sure what Cantr Enhanced is.. is it something I would need to download? and it seems to not matter whether I use a different browser, or another computer, or anything. If I don't copy into a note in-game I copy into notepad (I have no other word processors on my computer except like wordpad or something, sadly) but I'm not sure if it's the software or what.. It probably wouldn't annoy me as much if I didn't have super cold, twitchy hands though =\

And I only get a few hours per day (if that) access to my laptop on the internet, and basically all I can do on a phone is check events and try to respond without typos, so anything too time-consuming could warrant annoyance for me, I value my time very highly compared to most people and I hate waiting for anything even though a lot of times I get crap for being too impatient. But I could die any day so, I'd like to not waste five minutes I don't have to waste, you know? I think anyone can understand that. Not complaining, just, different things annoy different people for legitimate reasons. Like how some people can sit and listen to another person smack their lips loudly when eating and some have to say something or it drives them nuts (I'm in between, I don't say anything but it drives me nuts), it's objective and not everyone can understand why something bothers someone else.

I rush basically everything, life is too short in my opinion, and especially for cantr characters so, they're probably ten times as annoyed at my long list-making time than I am =P they can't really complain about that in game though so I'm doing it for them. Usually if I complain about something on here it's because it's actually detrimental to the progress of my characters (usually I'm unable to play because of slowness and then I go to the forums) and that's the number one annoying thing, things that slow my characters (or me) down.


Also on the previous note, if I did have Word or another processor that would probably help a lot.. I could select matching text and delete the text of the buttons all at once.. I have word pad or something but I don't even know if that works the same... maybe I can try that next time. I don't have high hopes though, word pad is like some crappy rip off of MS Word.

...mine are all very alert and emotional characters but they have to be "sleepy" and boring to fit in or else I feel like I'm annoying all these players who just want "peace and quiet" and hate when you initiate RP because then they have to play the game (oh no!)...

...And I'm online basically all day, just wishing against all odds that I'll find another character who wants to interact with mine besides five minutes of idle chit-chat repeating the same things they say every single day...

...most of them refuse to even show mine affection in public, it's like my characters only attract people who are too embarrassed to be in a relationship but just HAVE to be with my character, for whatever reason, and then I'm stuck with RPing this awkward non-compatible couple that don't even belong together...

I feel the need to say sorry because my character is like this, but it's partly character traits determined before spawn and part is a side affect from life eventsand changes oog, and never anything intentional once a relationship began.

That is strange, I have tried it on notepad and I still don't get unnecessary text, just a need to align things a little. Gonna play around with some things and will PM you some possible solutions to make it easier to deal with (or maybe even eliminate it altogether).

That moment where you've gotten really into character, then switch to another and end up doing something the first character would do. And then everytime you check on character 2 and get into character you panic because they're panicky because OMG.

I have a character that's a real cowboy sailing. Will take many risks and just freeball their way from island to island and be totally okay with that. I was still feeling this character when I logged into my one that generally takes it easy sailing because they're not that good, and find stupid sailing risks, well, stupid.

If I sail past this island I'm ending my life!

Or, you know, Ill just be pissed at me for awhile and not be so dramatic. Undecided

What about when people are occasionally posting but you never know when they're going to post next, so you just sit there, hoping for something to happen?
