I reset the counter, but I'm close to quitting. Firstly I think my RP sucks and secondly I've had too many problems in this game occur over a small period of time. I just can't take this game seriously when I'm looking at myself like a joke.

I've been such a disturbance to the game recently I think it would be easier to remove myself from the scene.

You think you can't RP? You will learn. You can't handle the situation in the game? Put to sleep part of the characters. It's better than deleting your entire account. With time, you will force them to solve their problems.

To be honest - if you are concerned about quality of your roleplay it only means that your standards are high enough to think about it. I know many people whose RP is... well... crap. And they don't give a damn. And they still have fun and we have tons of great moments with them too. On the other hand I know many players who will rant about their RP and how they suck (they might be honestly thinking that, I don't mean false modesty here) at it... but we are all looking at their characters and thinking how badass players they must be.

What I mean is: it all comes down to what you think is a "good RP". There are rules, of course. But when it comes down to quality I think everyone sets a bar for themselves. And being a good player (IMHO!) is not about beating your bars, but about TRYING to beat it and constantly pushing it a bit higher.

After all - it is just a matter of perspective.

I know at least one of yours and I can say I never saw anything wrong with your rp.. in fact you're the first person I've ever seen roleplay that character's 'issue' the CORRECT way without making it OOC or dumb, and it was an inspiration to see that... I have always enjoyed that character and wished for more interaction with him, and it's really disheartening to think that he might die now because you think your rp is bad when he's one of the few characters who even make that stupid forest interesting.. I've embarassed myself and made OOC mistakes and stupid roleplay mistakes and been a "disturbance to the game" more times than I can count, and that was just last week, I've been playing over four years and I know how it feels to encounter too many poblems in a small time, it is frustrating and I always feel like quitting when that happens but I can tell you it will pass if you let it.. you shouldn't quit over it, people will forget and your rp can always improve, trust me.

There are many people not rping at all and many players have rping and not rping chars. I don't know what are the problems you've been facing , but I know us Cantrians and our characters are not so mainstream (we're all mad here). No reason to take things so literal unless there are real OOC reasons behind and if you're still enjoying some moments in this world. You can always try new things with your chars, or try spawning few different ones. None is perfect .

I suspect you're only talking about quitting because you're embarrassed about having sex in front of everybody. It's okay man, mistakes happen, life goes on.

Your RP I doubt there's any real issue with...I've seen people play this game just fine with no emotes beyond *smiles* and *nods*. And your other complaints, about people not reading their events closely enough to answer your questions, people sleeping or dying, it's true that these are all frustrating things but after seven years here I'd think you'd be used to them. Because of problems like that we need all the players we can get right now, I'd hate to see you leave.

After having a night to sleep on it, reading the supportive feedback from my fellow players, and staring at the unsub icon for a minute or so...... I've decided to not let go of what I know to be my best character list I've ever had.

I'm going back into exile now. Seems like I only make a forum post when I'm pissed off. Sorry everyone, and thank you for your patience, understanding and support.

That's what the forums are for, for support! Vent and let it out, man! Glad you are taking some time to recover from this. Try not to be so hard on yourself, it was an honest mistake. All mistakes will fade in time.

PS. You could also elect to have this character experience "selective amnesia" about this whole incident, if you get my drift.
