You should be able to go into the game as soon as your account is officially activated. In that aspect nothing has changed.

I like the new starting area and was wondering how long it usually lasts before getting into the game proper.
Note: Already posted this in another 'introduction thread' but thought it would be appropriate here too.
Welcome back! I was going to say that even though I'm a new player I arrived before the starting area was implemented so I'm afraid I can help you with how it works, but as it turns out I've been playing almost exactly a year! :/ I don't know if characters carry over between the starting area and the main game at all (I'd guess probably not) but my impression was that you can choose when to first spawn a character in the main game simply by doing so?

It depends on if a PD member is around to approve you. Normally some time between instantly and 24 hours. Let us know if it takes longer than that.

They don't.

When you are accepted by a PD member your first character is spawned.

Yeah, I guessed that as I've already given details of my first character.

I'm back in the forum. It's been a while. I hope it goes better than last time.

Re: Welcome, New Players! (or Welcome Back, Old Players!)
Quick question guys (I figured this is the best place to ask questions rather than spamming the main board)...
When I am viewing a project (ie, clicking on an active project), it tells me how many days it'll take to complete. Is this real-life days or in-game days? ie it says 1.5 days, which, according to Cantr time, is 12 real-life hours. Is this correct?
It's been so long, I've forgotten so much...

The amount of days is the same... One Cantr day = one real life day. The minutes and hours are different but it doesn't really measure those. Of course depending on skill level that number may not be accurate.

Re: Welcome, New Players! (or Welcome Back, Old Players!)
Just a reminder about how time works in Cantr:
1 Cantr second = 5 RL seconds
1 Cantr minute = 60 Cantr seconds = 5 RL minutes
1 Cantr hour = 36 Cantr minutes = 180 RL minutes = 3 RL hours
1 Cantr day = 8 Cantr hours = 24 RL hours = 1 RL day
When days/hours are displayed, it's always referring to the Cantriian time units. (This is more important to remember with hours since RL days and Cantr days are equivalent.)
Hope this helps.

Thanks, your comparison for each time type really helped.

It's been a few days now, but I'd just like to say hello to all and I've come back to play again!
Sticking to two for now.
