Who has named the most characters? By that, I mean characters who know the names of a lot of other characters.

I think they did this one once and it was Coventina for the English.

That's probably true what with all of the people in Klojt and the visitors to the city.

One of my now-dead characters was third on that list. At least I think it was mine.
I doubt any of my characters would make that list now.

Funny. Now, leaving the jokes behind and returning to a "serious" topic.

Honestly, I don't know if it's possible, or if it was already done time ago, but I would like to see statics of players per country (not language, country). Why? Because I'm curious to see how many players play in my time zone.

Okay, serious question then, though probably one that's been answered before: since it came up in the 'Potential for large-scale conflict' thread, how many completely uninhabited locations are there out there?

When you say "completely" uninhabited to you mean, those that currently have no people?

Or those that have no sign people have -ever- spent time there (no buildings, vehicles, objects or gathered resources.... I suppose I'd allow notes because explorers who spend only minutes in any given location sometimes still leave a 'note of discovery').

I expect #1 is a lot right now, like over 75% of total locations.

I'd be interested to know #2 also... have to be a lot of towns on Fu/Laika that have never seen much if any activity.
I kill threads. It's what I do.

A timeline for number of "active players in past 15 minutes"

Very old characters
sherman wrote:How many people are older than oldest living man who is 116 years?

270.
Number of people grouped by decades:

Code: Select all

Number of custom descriptions
Otherside wrote:What percentage of items have a custom description.

A little. It's hard to count them.
There are 4400 object descriptions. About 2k done by English characters and 2k by Polish.

Most often described objects
Most often described stuff (excluding labels on keys and keyrings):

Code: Select all

+--------+--------------------------+
| COUNT  |          object          |
+--------+--------------------------+
|   136  | carved_wood_mug          |
|   112  | small_glass_bottle       |
|    83  | knit_wool_stuffed_animal |
|    72  | large_glass_bottle       |
|    70  | bone_ring                |
|    66  | cotton_shirt             |
|    52  | leather_boots            |
|    49  | wooden_plate             |
|    46  | canvas_duffel            |
+--------+--------------------------+

Clothes are not on the top, that's probably because there are many types of them. I guess reasons to give a desc for a mug and label for a bottle were probably utilitarian.

I don't have data about language-ownership of locations at the moment. If done, it would be just an approximation based on location of people. It wouldn't be reliable bacause of travelers and multilingual towns. And even if done, it would be too long and too specific to post on the forum.

Xander wrote:Who has named the most characters? By that, I mean characters who know the names of a lot of other characters.

Considering alive characters remembered by alive characters, in top 30 of namers (observers) there are 26 Polish and 4 English characters.
The most efficient English namer is top 8 with 287 named people.
Top 1 has 578 which is much more than the second person. 7 characters have named more than 300 people.

A lot.
8165 of 9217 were not visited in last 20 days.

2635 have no sign of ever being visited (completely empty).
3557 have no buildings, vehicles and objects except notes or envelopes.

Surly wrote:How many projects that actually utilise fuel are currently started on harvesters?

49 with petrol, 1 with alcohol, 4 with propane. It's just for harvesting and drilling. I think it might be interesting to see what percent of recently produced resources was done using fuel, but that might be complicated.

Andu wrote:A timeline for number of "active players in past 15 minutes"

No data.

Age of keyholders
And, last but not least, there's something I've done recently: Structure of age of keyholders
I've decided that a leader (keyholder) is a person who holds the highest number of keys to a town.
Only towns with at least 7 people were taken into account, because for very small settlements these values look more random so are less reliable.

Interesting statistics. Is it possible to know who has made the most "OOC character descriptions"? The ones you can assign to any character to remind you who they are?

There are 117 Portuguese players and 96 Portuguese characters right now.

Probably lots of Portuguese players play in English but have their site-language still set to Portuguese...

Almost all languages have five times more characters than players. I wonder what happened here.
