I miss Richard Dahl. Master of D'Hara and founder. But let's not forget my ranger, Louryl Du'val and the famous or infamous collector of names, Keyless Craftman.

Having just returned to Cantr in the last few days, I've started missing a lot of my old characters.
One in particular I've been missing lately is one of my first characters, Shaft Santon, from Karnon Island. Don't know how many people here might remember him, but he met some great characters over the years. I had great interesting times with him. Here's hoping I have experiences equally as interesting this go around too.

I still miss Tara Goldriver and I am feeling regret because I let her die in my non cantring days. I wonder is there anyone alive from her old friends.
I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.

It just occurred to me. I really miss Jerry and Ashley. (I know lame names). I made them when I first started playing cantr and really regret how that turned out. I think about it a lot and the towns they spawned into were amazing and just so much potential. Yifi Aforn was a good one I miss too and she was probably better off than most.
Kai Zaine from Naron Forest and Birch! Oh Birch. xD Yes, Birch was definitely one of the top 10 and ironically I thought it was going to be a fly by night character at the start. But he had some really good atmospheric moments. Good roleplayers around. Just the general idea of Birch I miss. Granted, I've had better characters, especially now. But still, miss Birch.

Karin of VHS/Heartswater. Things quieted down there after all the commotion (pirate hunt etc) and then I quit Cantr for some time. Would still have liked to know the fate of everyone else involved.

Karin! I’ve a char who remembers her to this day, at over 180. Mine was briefly an apprentice in the blacksmith shop iirc, so never knew her well, but she saw Karin then as a role model, and has kept her story. Really well done!

My first ever character, Calisthek, spawned in VHN. I had no idea how to play and could not figure out why he couldn't eat the tomatoes (the only apparent source of food in town), so he walked to VHS and lived there.
He was peripheral to some of the major events, he was away trading and gathering resources when the first round of attacks came, and returned right in the middle of the last round thereof and the aftermath... hid and helped hide people, was there for the trial and subsequent execution, some of the fallout with the woman who was kidnapped and then went over to the bad side, all that. I can't even remember the characters' names anymore, the pirate I think was Alex and the woman who fled and was killed eventually had a name that started with a D.
I don't think Calisthek even made it to forty.
I kill threads. It's what I do.

Dahlia. She was mine. That was back when I first started playing the game too.

Yay, one of my old chars is being remembered!
When the webzine is back up, I hope we can revive and post Karin's "documentation" of the events again, from her eyes ofcourse. Should be fun to read that again, at least for me.
Unfortunately with that book, my IRL situation made me have less and less time to put into her bio, so while the first chapters are rather decent, the final chapters were still mostly cut&paste from the events. :/

I miss playing Lori most. Her attitude was one that was healthy for me to 'think through' and her circumstances were a very enjoyable balance of huge opportunities and significant but not impossible challenges. She was my only character to ever set foot on any island other than the one she spawned on :3
Kieran, Thomasina-Louise and Grayson I also miss playing but I don't think I'll be attempting to play characters with anything too much their challenges and outlooks on life any time soon.

Re: Which of your dead characters do you miss?
Since I just restarted I really started missing some of the ones I abandoned: Most of all Kiiri, Trillian, Ruby and Sam. But even more than the ones I abandoned I miss Jet Parters, who was killed for being with the one she loved.
I notice in my new chars that I am trying to revive these five ladies, but luckily the world doesn't let me, because they spawn in completely different places.

Don't remember where I was - I realized life was a game - The more seriously I took things - The harder the rules became
