Once when the Mother's Song was performed during a festival and split between different days, I felt obliged to read it for the first time. Maybe because I figured if someone bothered to write something that long and make it rhyme, it deserves to be listened. But it sucks that someone just copied it from a book. Then again, a lot of names in Cantr are copied from literature or pop culture. I've seen for example characters named Piers Anthony, Brittney Spears, a lot of references to the Sword of Truth series, Phoenix Cloud Strife... The town of New Xanth has it's name copied from a book, so is D'Hara.

That sort of stuff never bothered me. In fact, I've known some Cantr characters that were more famous than their real life namesakes. I think it's kind of fun, and we all know that it's stolen from RL; it's a parody, in a way. The plagiarism of songs and poetry, though, really upsets me, and I honestly think Cantr should have a policy disallowing this. I personally destroy any plagiarized material that I find (if I can).

When some people do things with OOC reasons, but they act like it is IC and then they insist to involve other characters with their stuff.

I hate newspawns who instantly spawn, introduce themselves, then a heartbeat later say they won't stay long. Especially on certain islands. I just want to be meah and not help them (Giving food, shields, clothes, etc). Its like, give the town a chance before deciding you hate it there enough to leave.

Or newspawns who don't even introduce themselves, take food from the containers outside, then pick a road and leave. I'm a bad person then by hoping they die.
Oh look, another glorious morning… makes me SICK!

I hate it when I do this by accident:

Roleplaying too much of the same/similar situations on different characters within a short span of time.

At least that's easier (for me anyway) than huge mood whiplash - one character in a dark situation, another having the time of her life, and both 'awake' at the same time.

Guilty as charged. When watching too much Star Trek, my characters tend to become overly stiff and withdrawn, even the ones that are already stiff and/or withrawn. ;)

Both puzzled and annoyed: If you're going to loot a corpse and make a break for it, perhaps make sure that what you steal is worth more than the work you've done for the town? Or ask to be paid first?

Today there are a lot of things annoying me...

My total lack of interest and how hard it is to go further than logging in or more precisely how hard it is to do something at all between logging in and logging out; the incredible amount of chars that are unable to assume that their acts have consequences, when it affects my own gameplay, mostly, as I don't care much about how others decide to play usually; when other characters assume that 1 vs 1 roleplay has to necessarily include sex or they expect your 1 vs 1 roleplay to include sex no matter what (seriously? I feel pity for you if that's all you can think of), when characters play the hypocritical dude (totally legit), but then throw a whole scene if they got caught by your character because they have to be loved and pampered in each and every situation; missing way too many characters/players/storylines; having lost the feeling and not being able to get it back... Time to retreat to the grumpy cave again.

I completely understand. I have a few ideas on how to shake these kinds of things up. I don't know if folks will play along, but it might just be time to see. :D

I'm definitely feeling a lot of this myself.

Well I've just been washed over by indifference, and it's a cancer spreading amongst all of my characters.
A few were indifferent to begin with, by design, but characters that were never supposed to be indifferent have become indifferent too.
