I prefer characters dying over sleeping endlessly. Sleep just stagnates roleplay, death allows people to move on. But yeah, it's sad either way.

When you know that maybe you could at least ease boredom with some RP if only you didn't need a translator or translating tool to do it

This just makes me laugh more than anything. When up to or over five lines of character conversation consists of nodding emotes. Makes me think of this.

They nod.

Who says the bird is nodding, maybe some totally awesome metal music is playing in the background and you know...nature takes its course?

This seems to be a growing problem in the game, judging by the things people are saying on the forums... It seemed pretty clear to me when I started that players aren't supposed to do that sort of thing in public spaces. (I mean, it's also common sense, as well as being against rules)

Yeah I never understood that.. I had a character have sex in the middle of a town once, but only because no one was there so it seemed, but as soon as someone walked outside who had been in a building, they stopped and covered themselves up and were embarrassed about it (it was so great, I love those plot twists), they wouldn't keep having sex when someone was there, it's weird and implausible, and sex via whispers is just unrealistic, you can't have sex in public and not be seen so if you're gonna do it in public like a jerk, just say it aloud because there's no point in ever whispering sex, knowing it can be overheard anyway. If not for the simple fact that you should never ever RP sex in public because if there's a player who is a MINOR watching, you just committed a real-life crime by subjecting them to that against their will. For the same reason you have to ask before you start RPing sex with another person, there are actual people behind these characters and some are under the age of consent. So is it really that hard to take your character behind a closed door or window? It's not just your character you'd be getting in hot water, don't even play that, people, it's not a joke. And it's been repeated a hundred times, over and over, you have to be careful with this sex stuff on the internet, even in an anonymous game where you may think "everything goes", it really doesn't. You can be held accountable. Be considerate.

It's unsightly for one, and people can overhear even if they don't mess up. Not every player is old enough to read that sort of stuff, or wants to... so yeah, must be against the rules. Should I have reported them? O.o Anyways, I also hate it when people abuse the whisper system with such extensive actions. I can tolerate a kiss or a pat on the shoulder or something because you could hide that with the angle of your body or something, but THAT sort of thing? You can't hide that.

Yeah, I agree with that. I always split my actions into a separate public post, but feel a bit weird doing so, because I never see other players doing the same... It would spice up those whisperfests quite a bit, though, if more people did that! Instead of a wall of whispers back and fourth, you'd see nodding, frowning, laughing... It would invite other people into the story.

something that annoys me to no end, is when a character claims to love mine or whatever they think mine wants to hear, to keep mine from killing themselves, even if they've been through all sorts of trauma, my character tries so hard to keep living for this person, the person suddenly falls asleep. I can see other characters they play awake daily, but the other is "asleep" because they only said they loved my character to keep him trapped in a painful life. I could have killed this one and made a new, happy character, instead I have to RP MORE heartbreak and drama and pain, with an already traumatized character. That's so fun for me, playing a depressed character that makes me a depressed player because yours wanted to "save him" but you're bored with him already. Why do cantr characters save each other and then kill themselves just to spite them? It's so twisted and I hate it..

As horrible as the cycle is, it does say quite a lot about you as a player. It sounds like you go all put with your characters, even when it makes you uncomfortable as a player. I would love to meet some of your characters!
