Hunting Icon....

Postby Remnant » Wed Oct 20, 2004 2:11 pm

I've searched the forums. I've tried to dig up just about anything I could find. This stupid thing has been bugging me for quite some time. Will someone. ANYONE. PLEASE!!!! tell me what the heck is up with the hunting icon! Is it a duck? A chicken? Any type of fowl whatsoever??? I can't figure it out and I can't seem to find it in the forums. I know it's really stupid, but my OCD is acting up and I really have to know what it is!!!

Because of the request, I had a quick look. I fear that it looks like something I made :) ... Hence, ... euh ... who knows! ... it vaguely resembles an animal, which was the main idea.

Can anyone translate 'Kiviet' for me? It's what it reminds me of most :) ... Other suggestions? :)

Come on Jos, don't forget your Dutch language among those Irish people! It's "Kievit", and in English my dictionary makes it "lapwing" or "pe(e)wit".

Not helping.... OCD going into high gear....

Can we at least just -say- that it's a chicken for now until you decide something else?

What about a Cantr-chicken? Cantr-turkey?

Cantr-cod for that matter... Like I keep hearing (over and over again... ) Cantr is text-based, so it doesn't matter what things look like... :)

I like the hunting icon, it's cute. :) And it's got to be a duck.

It's definitely a duck. It doesn't look anything like a chicken, their bodies are shaped completely different.

Now, the real question is, do ducks even exist in Cant?

While we're on the topic of the buttons...

That :) for the new character button, who's self-portrait is that? Jos? Perhaps Thomas? Maybe even GOD?

Who knows...

For some reason, I feel mocked.....

Bravo! You are a genius! :D

Actually, I was mocking the fact that the new character button is a smily face. Sure, it makes sense... but a smily face? Why not a full person? Or some woman's uterus? (HAHA) Or a fetus all wrapp-- okay, no more suggestions from me.

It's just so silly. Two dots and a smile.

But at least it's silly, and make sense. No complaints from me. :)

It feels so dumb to have most of the characters marked with a smiley face even though they are sad or angry... Makes me feel like making them hit themselves just to get the expression right.

What makes the character's smiley faces only half-smiley or frowning? Does that come from their current strength?
