how to increase cantrs players
now i know how cantrs dying due to it being a web game and every ones moving to steam, but what if we were to make an application on android and ios. People these days are always looking for fun, little side games to check up on every day which is sort of cantrs area. Any thoughts about it.

That would be great. Unlikely to happen very soon, but it would be nice.
I guess we could at least make a fan app that helps with Cantr, like Joo's and Cdls's fan websites.
There are ways to make Cantr more easily usable on mobile devices. It would just take a lot of time. I wish I had such time.

Mobile app would also help current people.. As it stands out, currenlty using Cantr on cell phone is so annyoing and takes forever to load

Please elaborate on this, as Cantr is not dying, and being a web game would have nothing to do with it if it were. What information are you basing this claim from?

Same. Starting about a month ago, the majority of my free time has been filled and since there didn't seem to be enough interest in the idea I proposed, I stopped working on examples for it.

I have accessed Cantr on many different cell phones and haven't had one of them take forever to load. What brand/model cell phone are you using, and are you sure it isn't an issue with throttled/low speeds from your network connection?

Actually I see better the notes with BIG images into my cell phone than into the pc (because they adapt to the size of the screen, and into the computer, they don't).
But an app with notifications when any of your characters experience a determinate event (that is why filters exist), would be great.
Edit: By the way, I don't think that an app will bring too much players.

I am currently trying to use my connections in Second Life . I am making people at least put an info on their profile picks and visit the page. There are too many empty brained avatars , but also some nice people with good potential. I will also re-nag some old players I know , but not sure how will that end. Also thinking about making a bulletin, I am open to good marketing ideas.

I've got some of my co workers interested in the game. The only problem I'm seeing though is that it would be two or three different people playing on the same PC over the course of the work week. I know PD has me registered on like.. four IPs I'm sure so the IP located in Vonore is a public computer! :p

I think if we let groups of 5-20 humans be allowed to form one clan where they are allowed to out-of-game conspire to end up together, you would see a rise of forum guilds, facebook friend cities, and more social "hey come play with me" options.
maybe even allow some one to seed a clan spawn where they can send an email invite to some one to come play with them, at their clan city.
mmo's suck in players because you invite friends who play with you.
I told about 6 people about cantr and then explained that i basically couldn't interact with them! so they quit within the month. I haven't tried since.

Okay based on Uma's post I'm wondering if it wouldn't help to allow some OOC events to draw in players and keep some more active. Here is what I'm thinking of. Let it be known that I'm not sure if I like it but it keeps crossing my mind.
We probably would have to have a new island. That island and a limited area around it would be a Capital Rule Excempt zone. Everyone would be allowed one character inside that zone and must stay inside the zone. No outside characters would be permitted to enter and still under the same rules we have now. These CRE characters would be allowed to form clans OOCly and plan etc as mentioned. Also would be permitted to use translators so everyone could be on the island with no language issue. I was actually planning on making another trailer for the game, if no one has any objections… post it to YouTube, spread the word about Cantr?
