Way I've heard that story, he wasn't actually the only survivor... but it's interesting that he always thought he was.

Kinny wrote: Joshua Slatewood- A surprise with Joshua, I thought from the minute he spawned he'd be a sleeper. But I took a chance and set him off Naron on a road. But with some stroke of luck he met the love of his life and the rest was history. Sailed around, him Sirri and Paisley, causing trouble and exploring. So many men they picked up and then left behind, many laughs were had. Sorry to leave you ladies

Met them on two different occasions, two different characters... enjoyed both times.

Sorry to hear you're cutting back so severely, but it happens.

Brooke - one of the unfortunate on the cut list due to my decreasing interest in the game.

You'll be missed, Kinny! I was surprised by a couple on your list. Harper seemed like a really interesting char from what I'd heard of her second-hand. Hope RL settles down for you soon and don't stay away for too long.

Beckett Hart- After being kidnapped with his town by Blackrocks sometime around 2900-3000 he was the only one still alive and wandered around, rich off all the crap they left behind when they skipped on off of Treefeather. Met some people, met some ladies, never really found a place of his own. Eventually half-settled in Drojf with the MacGregors where he did a lot of trading around the island. Don't think he really made much profit, but he enjoyed the traveling and meeting of people. Leaving Kalil they way he did was truly heartbreaking, he really did care for that guy, loved him maybe, even if the relationship was strained. (addendum: Sorry to hear he passed on, though I can't say I am surprised. It was fun!)

Your characters were all amazing. You will be missed. Beckett especially by me. I always did find it funny that I knew more about him than my character did, through finding notes by others. Sorry for all the drama, he annoyed me even at times, but that was one of the most engaging "relationships" I've ever been involved in. His impact was far reaching and I doubt that island will ever be quite the same.

It's time for me to go, Cantr... This time has been a blast... But real life calls and this game brings out the worst as well as the best. So, so long... Thanks to all that RPd with mine, especially the long term characters. I will miss you all.

Was it a sudden decision? (Hope to see you back sometime, great characters.)

I knew so many of those but never knew who played them. Sorry to see you go.

O_o Usually when I see a list of dead characters I'm like 'didn't know, didn't know, didn't know, didn't know, briefly met, didn't know, didn't know.'

But on your list there was one 'still remembered and deeply missed after years', two 'had multiple conversations with and will be shocked to hear of death/was shocked to notice death' and at least three brief encounters. Your characters have been much appreciated Otherside, and I hope you do come back some day if that can work out for you.

No... it was a long time coming... The balance is always hard to get right and I kept spending too much time on it. I just found it -so- hard leaving some of the amazing characters behind...

Glad some were memorable, thanks all.

Other, I am sorry about your decision. I really think some players must quit, but yours was truly unnecessary from my perspective. Thanks for the experience and I hope you find your way back to the greens in a better way than before. You know Cantr always haunts us in a way. :)

I've had 3 different characters meet one each of those...and one of them, well, that explains a lot as to why there's been a hold-up in plans. My character will be so gutted for their friend when they find out...

I only got to know a few of your characters, Dimitrius but in these last days, Raven. It seems ominous now that she asked Shaudawn about the West. In reality, I play Shaudawn closest to my own ideals, utilizing stories and beliefs I was told about growing up. In game, whenever Shaudawn says his prayers facing "West" I think about the lives of the actual people behind the characters, and it is sort of a way of saying, "Thank you for playing, and sorry to see you go. But I hope that whether due to real life or not, that whatever life brings you, it may be good...that you may live Life to the fullest, in happiness and peace of heart."

Thank you for playing with us. You had some good and dimensional characters. And while maybe coming from different philosophies at heart, Raven Morayne was an interesting character that you played well, and it was fun having Shaudawn interact with that character. So now, I hope you are able to do in your Life good and great things, that your spirit may live it in peace and happiness and do what you need to do.

Take care, and thank you again. And if down the road, you want to come back, I hope to run across some of your characters again.
