I take "bury" as a pretty vague description. You "bury" bodies on a ship, in the mountains (might need a pickaxe there instead of shovel), etc. Yes, the fact that a shovel boosts your productivity does imply digging, but what good would a shovel really be when burying a body at sea?
Cantr physics. That's my answer.

Maybe there's the ick factor of touching a dead person, and a shovel allows lifting it without touching it with your bare hands? Reminds me of Peter Griffin trying to lift a bullfrog out of a window.

I personally see burying someone at sea as pushing them over the edge of the ship.. Heh, then for some reason I picture the dead body floating in the water before sinking.. I'm not right in the head..
Oh look, another glorious morning… makes me SICK!

So at sea the shovel is used for helping them sink quicker. lol "Get down there, damnit, with the fishes!"*Jab jab*

And tonight I'm reminded why I hate getting into another language group area and trying to bother with them.

When a character of yours loses his love, and becomes the only town leader by then, deicdes to pick up all the notes and having to sort through them, first archiving the uneditable ones, then having to go through each one to see which are worthy of keeping and manually erasing the ones that aren't....Spent more time on this than actual roleplay.....which may or may not be an improvement.

I've done a lot of that. I can see why there are so many 'trash' folders in the world, it's much easier to dump them all in and forget about it. But when I have characters who, like me, are interested in Cantr history, it's a bit of a challenging task.
(But the feeling you get when you finally get them all sorted, and click 'remove duplicates' and it tells you 50 notes removed almost makes it all worthwhile)

That makes me feel like we should introduce community service into the game.
Locked up?... Here are 300 notes... off you go, sonny Jim! You'll get out when they're sorted...

That's......not a bad idea. Had something like 800 notes, removed duplicates, and got rid of 200 of them 600 to go. And when I archive, I actually read all the notes....darn you curiosity.

I am amused, and amazed that a car one of my characters used to own (who is now deceased) still has the same name. The character died on 2380.

I do, except my approach is usually like "Make these newspawn clothes and once you're done, we'll let you out" or "Make this food and once you're done, we'll let you out".

Being spawned in a town where there's a no drama law, yet the gay/mute/town leader that you try to be friends with continues to be depressing and kill moods left and right and have a huge, dark cloud of bad "Look at me I'm sad" drama hovering around him to the point you can't take it anymore and just up and leave for an adventure to find something only to find you're in an area of the world full of crazy people and abandoned towns or people with no resources to help you so you can get back to your spawn town eventually with some cool goodies only to be called a bunch of names and hoping that when you do return home with said goodies they even remember who you are because its taking so long to get anywhere on foot and having carried so much in supplies and trying to get the things needed so that you can move faster and get to where you are trying to go. *gasps breath*
Newspawns that have no intention of doing anything so they just start a project for however long till they starve to death and all they gather is resources the town has a stockpile of.. come on people.. if you are going to be a failspawn. At least gather something the town could use. Work on the rarer items or valuable ones and then die with 15k of that. Not 15k of grass when there's cotton, grass, resin, all sorts of things in the town that are needed to be stocked up on.
Being called a thief from someone extremely close to your characters all because you happen to find a vehicle sitting out abandoned and decided to break the lock and take it home for safe keeping. Even after clearly stating if the owner still lives and turns up you'd happily give it back to them and figure its safer in your care cause you are not a thief unlike the extremely hateful things your being called by best friends.
People trying to shave my character's majestic beard. It's epic and powerful and screams, "I am a real man! Not some sissy boy afraid to be scratched. Look at my scars and this beard! The BEARD DEMANDS IT!"
That's something that grinds my gears

Sleepy traders annoy me. It's not their fault, I'm sure, but it can be very frustrating.
What puzzles me is how often players get offended about what other characters are doing. You know the player probably doesn't think that way about you, right? Sometimes characters are sensitive, emotional, or paranoid. it's just their personality.

Feeling very sad at someone quitting despite their char being very sleepy over the years... I saw this coming, and each time the sleepy periods got longer, I felt the inevitable approaching. It has now happened, but it turns out that I'm not prepared for this great loss at all.
