Re: The Dead Character Thread
Khornya Linyaar, of Klojt.
I would have liked to keep her, but I just didn't have the energy for all my characters, and she was one of the easiest to let go. There's a few others who I'll probably lose for the same reason.

RL came up and swept me away, and Owl Quinn died. I am not pleased.

Not that many people would know him, or care
But Rhys Rhydderch died, day 4463. Besides him being plagued by headaches, he had a good but short life.

*sigh* I know at least one person on [cut] who's going to miss her.

Kalil. I'm not sure that he left a very large impact on the Green World, but he left one on me. I hated letting him go, even if I knew as well as he did that there were no other options. He makes me wish there were some sort of an afterlife for the residents of Cantr, just so that his last wish would come true.

Kalil's death was sad. First time I think I truly felt sorry for a character in game. Guess I'm giving away my character where the death occurred but not that big of a deal since he doesnt do anything but gather grapes anyway haha, but did feel sorry for Kalil. I had seen the pair with a few characters and knowing how close they were must have made the Beckett's death tough on Kalil and probably you as a player. I have another character that although they only met a few times he had modeled himself a bit after Beckett and will be sad when he learns of his death.

It was sad...there was no convincing him to carry on
May he rest in peace now.

Re: The Dead Character Thread
Aw, ok, let me say good bye to all the characters I let go of in preparation for my long hiatus to come. Who knew I'd ever have a character list I can count on one hand.
Beckett Hart- After being kidnapped with his town by Blackrocks sometime around 2900-3000 he was the only one still alive and wandered around, rich off all the crap they left behind when they skipped on off of Treefeather. Met some people, met some ladies, never really found a place of his own. Eventually half-settled in Drojf with the MacGregors where he did a lot of trading around the island. Don't think he really made much profit, but he enjoyed the traveling and meeting of people. Leaving Kalil they way he did was truly heartbreaking, he really did care for that guy, loved him maybe, even if the relationship was strained. (addendum: Sorry to hear he passed on, though I can't say I am surprised. It was fun!)
Ceris Detello- Oh Ceris, in one of the longest, but frustrating relationships of any of my characters. She didn't know if she wanted to slap or kiss Nash most of the time. But beyond her love life, she was the Armory manager of Klojt for a good several years, and let me tell you, keeping that straight as a player was a headache. Klojt was such fun in those times, makes me miss the years before the advent of windows. The people there were amazing, and you still are. Ceris grew into who she truly was, stoic and emotionally withdrawn, and I loved her.
Harper Silas (Julie)- Spent most of her life on Burgeo fighting off elephants, rats, throwing blueberries, and enjoying her little town full of people she loved dearly until one too many deaths sent her running decades later. After a rather nasty encounter with some animals and people that should've been animals she lost most of her memory and eventually sailed away, confused and lost as to a purpose, missing people she could not even remember. I'm not even sure where the ship was when the heart attack finally took her.
Jocelyn Pewlo- Ah.... my crass and violent little wench. Lived in Aragon for a while and wasn't too bad of a person, hated the new leader(s) and skipped town. Lost probably the only person she ever half-way cared about, stupid Bim, and then holed up to play a nasty hermit for about.... 50 years. Enjoyed every minute of it. NO VISITORS! Guess she can't scare people off with her claymore any more. Oh well. Rest well moptop Jocelo.
Joshua Slatewood- A surprise with Joshua, I thought from the minute he spawned he'd be a sleeper. But I took a chance and set him off Naron on a road. But with some stroke of luck he met the love of his life and the rest was history. Sailed around, him Sirri and Paisley, causing trouble and exploring. So many men they picked up and then left behind, many laughs were had. Sorry to leave you ladies
Caleb- Spawned, worked for years until growing sick of it and the sleepy town, stole a ship and got himself into a couple tight situations I /still/ can't talk about because it's on-going after like 2 rl years. (eyeroll) Stole some more things and then lived peacefully with his hawk in a forest. Nice times.
My characters led such mundane lives mostly. Some deaths might not be heard of yet, frankly a few probably don't have anyone missing them, but I won't be on much at all after today, so I thought I'd give my proper good byes now.
(Also played Genevive, I meant to say so earlier, but I forgot! I didn't think Jack even noticed her enough for you to mention her.)

Sad to see Caleb go. And this will give away my character but your hawk is in good hands. Good Luck Kinny!

One of mine would be doing a happy dance right about now if he had a computer and could read this.

Re: The Dead Character Thread
Ceris was the only Armory manager to retire successfully, (unless we count Alys who just went on vacation and never came back).
I met Joshua ingame at least once. He had such cool clothes, my character was hoping he could pull off the same look one day.

I know of a few that got an early start on mourning Harper, and one that always had a bit of a crush on her. She's still missed, and it's a shame she had no one with her when she went.

I remember Ceris and Caleb. I know Caleb was sleepy, but sad to hear death of Ceris.
I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.
