Events notifications

Hi everyone!
I'm an old player trying to make a comeback, and while I loved all the improvements that happened while I was away, and there were lots, I seem to be lacking something...
Is there anyway I can get notifications for when my characters have events, whether it's in a browser extension, in a mobile device, or something else I can't think of? Having to check the characters page from time to time seems so old school...
If not, is there any Cantr API which I could use to develop such a thing?

Yes, I am! Someone had already told me about it in a PM, but thanks anyway!
It would still be interesting to know if there is any API in case I want to do something else myself...
