Re: Game changes - discussion about implemented changes.
After stumbling onto some of the pasta related wiki pages the other day, I wanted to have one of my characters make some pasta straight away...but looking through the recipes, most of them don't really have access to everything needed
One will definitely be making some macaroni and cheese after they get some gas though! And it'll become their new favourite food!

My character is going to love this so much! He gets so excited discovering new foods =P I can't make most of them (for one thing, none of my 13 characters have ever seen olives in their lives and I've been playing for three RL years, so everything with olive oil is out) but still awesome!

Some of my characters have access to olives but having access to olives and propane and some sort of grain at the same time - not so easy.

We did our best to encourage regional use of ingredients (hence the split between plain and gourmet pasta). Soap will do so even more, where everyone can make one or two kinds, but never all of them.

One of mine is about to finish making gourmet pasta.
My other char will be able to make -all- types of soap, but I doubt she'll waste any time on the foul kind.
Thank you everyone for making all this happen.

One of my characters can get olives...but not the gas for propane or a grain...or much of what is needed for the rest of the recipes... All my others have never seen olives, so it'd have to be plain pasta recipes for them for now.
Maybe there'll start being traders specialising in olives now there's going to be a demand for them
I wonder how long before there's a character called Popeye who makes olive oil...
As for soaps...that'll be an ideal gift for one of mine to give someone special to them ^_^

Re: Game changes - discussion about implemented changes.
The soap has a general use message too, so that it can be used for washing yourself, another, or scrubbing the floor, even washing your clothes. We decided against having a specific "You see man in his twenties wash himself with soap." to allow that freedom.
I can't wait to see some soap in-game myself. I tend to feel awkward making new stuff so soon after implementation, so I usually wait until someone else brings it up.
As for olive oil, pasta and soap should only be the beginning. With enough demand we'll soon see the world's first olive trade routes, I hope.

*sob* I've waited so long for soaps, like rose and lavender, but there is no chance that most of my characters will ever see olive oil... as far as I know you don't get olives on Cantr or Treefeather.

Already having a boat load of olives... this just got good.
They could go from a novelty to a staple.
A lot of boats will be showing up somewhere, real soon.
Well done!

That moment when you realize that giving away all your bunches of olives here and there as a snack wasn't the best idea XD
Thanks, especially for the soaps!

"Major changes in the storage code"
You mean now I can put goblets on a shelf.
Amazing. Wonderful and amazing.
(Could you possibly view the contents of a storage inside a storage when taking something out of that storage, so we're not groping for the right basket?)
