Strangeness due to errors

Postby Antichrist_Online » Sun Sep 19, 2004 2:50 pm

Two of my characters were rping a trade of resources in Djorf Hills(west). I logged in during different turns as best I could. However, muliple posts and weird text changes happend due to my computer having a virus. (Even changed an entire post, it was a trojan, infected by someone I work with). Both had fair trade and passage of communications.
I'm just reporting this accidental breach due to a malfunction on my computer, incase anybody else reports it. The virus/trojan will be seen to soon so it won't happen again (complete format needed).

No virus should need a re-format and restore... Or didn't you have up-to-date antivirus software? Go download AVG; it's free and one of the best around.

The virus attacked norton and prevents anything else being installed. I'm conducting a complete format as a last choice.

If there's a program ending your AV processes. Just end that process and get it sorted. You don't have to re-install!

The process prevented the correct running of all programs, including the reinstallation of windows, by changing the active code in those programs, I'm getting it fixed soon, but am having to use my laptop till then.

I hate norton fullheartedly. It is better to have no virus protection then have norton. For about 6 months I couldn't uninstall nroton because I had to remember what the password was. Was after 6 months of guessing it urned out that the answer was blank. What kind of program requires a pssword to friggin uninstall.
