I find it amusing that 3500s is now considered "so long ago". Lol

My first spawned on 1167...

Yet it doesn't feel so long.

Even when you do it subtle, everybody just *leaves*. It's sooo stupidly annoying.

You would be surprised at some of the stuff I've gotten away with. The trick is not to instantly kill people at every given moment but make it obviously clear that your character certainly would be willing to. It makes sense--even if you are evil, killing people left and right is not a good way to gain followers and whatnot. It's better to have some sort of ideology and come up with some decent reasons to why you would kill people. But anyway, I've found it incredibly easy that once in a position of leadership or with a few people under you it turns out to be relatively simple to transform them into more ruthless individuals. Most of the cookie-cutter characters I imagine simply have nothing better to do and their personality shifts once something gets going. And many players usually jump at the idea of playing the troublemaker. Back when I played Hunter Steel at Vel'Nora I don't think I actually ever killed anybody but I made damn sure that I definitely would not flinch at massacring entire towns to survive. Did a quick search of it when I resubbed and was pleased to find that my culture thrived for a while after my death at least.

I don't know why people that make more ruthless societies don't simply build a relationship with nearby towns before they carry out their ruthlessness in a more hush-hush manner. They could trade, offer agreements, be somewhat personable with the leaders, give gifts, all sorts of things. Just establish yourself. People are less likely to challenge you once you aren't some random crazy mass murderer but a hard-nosed society. Had several well-known ones that were tolerated to an extent.

Accidental stabbings. For me, they're more humorous than annoying LOL But I wish it were easier to avoid the situations with the game mechanics. Maybe a separate sparring button?

Reminds me of when Sal was sparring with Snick but accidentally used a steel battle axe instead of a waster.

How do you even apologize for that?

Crossbows are even harder to explain... Trust me, I know

I believe I neglected to mention that her shield was ineffective against the blow. :D

"Get your face off my axe! You're supposed to be hitting the waster."

I think it might be even harder to explain with a regular bow, actually. You have to draw those before you can shoot them.

Strangely enough Ae'goloth doesn't even speak English very well either.
Somehow you strayed and lost your way,
and now there'll be no time to play,
no time for joy,
no time for friends
- not even time to make amends.
You are too naïve if you do believe life is innocent laughter and fun.

I know I'm not the best at role playing but what makes it worse is when I try I find my charries are often ignored anyway. Lots of towns seem to form cliques and if you aren't part then you get left out or am I just being a bit paranoid? Either way it is annoying to be ignored.
