Re: The Dead Character Thread
I must be playing in all the wrong towns. I almost never know anybody in this thread, despite playing a few years. I feel like I miss out on so many awesome characters when I read about them here.

Re: The Dead Character Thread
Storri Galaine of Akypor. Beloved Sentinel of Akypor for many years. She had quite a number of sleepy spells over the past RL year, and this one was a really big one - lasting at least four months... I kind of lost count.
But the times where she was awake were wonderful. Her character had such a motherly quality about her and she lived to serve her town, setting a good example for all. When her player had the time to invest in playing her, and if you had a character lucky enough to spend some alone time with her, her roleplay was also truly amazing. She will be missed by her town, including my character.

Aveda Petke of Kwor. She suffered a stroke and collapsed, was carried to a cot but did not wake. We were afraid a heart attack would finish her off, but starvation did. She was a sweet, kind person in a rather harsh town, the beloved seamstress. The fact that we let her starve has broken up the town quite a bit. My char's not one to be shattered, but they've been jaded by the death of the person they considered possibly their only friend. You are missed.

Mew Firetree of Tircqi. She died of a broken heart by starving herself.
Her story was one of the hardest for me to handle. Her love of life cut short before her mind and thoughts turned dark and troublesome. After losing the love of her life in a rather tragic way, her mind snapped. She lost the will to wake up anymore. Though there were others she loved, her mind and heart just couldn't handle the pain any longer.
To Ashley and Zalen - She loved you both very much. I am sad to lose the RP with you both, but her will was just too broken to continue.

My current characters didn't know her at all. But I had a character around when Storri first arrived in Akypor, and she was one of my favourite people to RP with at the time. She was a very believable character in my opinion, and as a player, I'm sad to see her pass away.

Suzy of Naron Forest
My first character, who only left her town once. (Well, twice if you count events near the very beginning of me playing her, but she came back before arriving anywhere else)

Yes, we will all miss our darling Little Aveda. She was a kind soul and caring lass. It still hurts that after she gave up starvation stole her instead of "sleeping sickness". We're sorry, and we'll miss you!

Re: The Dead Character Thread
Oh goodness, I killed off characters months ago and never even gave them a goodbye. I guess that's when you know it really was ok to cull them.
Annabel: Interesting character that I was sad for a bit on killing. My first attempt at scientific study, of the cape buffalo no less, by the end she knew how much milk you'd get from different sized herds of different fattened levels of different milk levels..... that was fun.
Noelani: Stuck on some empty as all heck island, I don't even remember which by now, but the atmosphere of actually needed to survive with her few townies was different.
Wilson: Poor guy, jumped from town to town, woman to woman and was never trying to be a player. Funny how that works out. Couldn't ever actually find a home though and let himself quietly pass in I think the forest.
Wasn't able to invest the time in these characters to do something more with them, so off they go. My shorter character list thanks their sacrifice.

Della Castro, ex-captain of the Legacy. She's definitely missed!

Aww.. Della? I had a character who spent her first six years sailing with Della. She was often quiet, but always working and sharing of what she had to help my character. My character will be quite sad if she finds out Della is gone.
