If your favorite character lost everything and everyone they had, what would you do?

I'd quit Cantr.

If "everything" only means "people, objects, buildings, and vehicles" as implied by the short list in the OP, most of mine would carry on with life after some form of mourning without losing any interest from me, and at least three of them would become more interesting to me. One would follow their lover to the grave if the loss was by death (otherwise would not fit their story thus far), and if the death was caused by another character they would seek revenge before suicide. If the loss was for any reason other than death, though, they too would move on after some form of mourning and possibly become more interesting to me.

If "everything" is expanded to include life, I'd stay as long as one of my other favorites still had theirs, provided I didn't get the impression Cantr was being overrun with mindless murderers but instead I just lost characters over real (to-the-characters-real) issues I could at least half way grasp. If all my favorites were to lose their lives, I'd redirect their energies into a new favorite out of my living characters. If following this pattern I'm left with only characters I can't get myself to like, I'd probably start one fresh, and at that point the question becomes how many times do I have to lose my newspawns before I quit Cantr? I find the answer to be more convoluted than it's worth, but as things are now I would be highly unlikely to lose them at exactly the rate that would cause me to quit.

If "everything" is only expanded to include freedom instead of life, my characters would probably develop some version of Stockholm's syndrome (the exact flavor of it a bit different for each character). My interest would then depend largely on the environment my character was captured in, including their captor; it might go either way.
