Easier perhaps but not as fun. I didn't need shackles to make it work, or even locks on doors. :) It was one of the more interesting rp places for me back then.

From my experience, half the problem is nearly all the newspawns have this strong sense of morals. For any kind of society with slaves, oppression, etc to form, you'd have to have people think it's normal.

That reminds me, you know how we have steel cages now? My newest character spawned in a Polish town on Fu and it had two steel cages, and I was like eek, but then I copied the descriptions on the signs and translated him, they were describing the cages as open-air steel gazebos with benches in them =P much more pleasant than a cage, I've never seen that before, it was cool. At first I was like "Why did that guy just go into a cage willingly? The rain's not THAT bad!" but then when I realized they were supposed to be gazebos I was like wow that is really cool, I never thought of that.

I think Cantr has too many attractive people. Then again, I'm guilty of adding onto that number because 3/5 of my youngest characters are (or at least were spawned) attractive, and the other two aren't that bad either.

There's this artist I discovered on Deviantart yesterday. Just look at how much bodily variety their OC:s have. It seriously puts me to shame.

Currently I don't have any overweight/obese characters. I used to have two but they both died a long time ago. And one of my current characters used to be overweight but she lost weight due to depression and never regained it even after the depression went away. Also I don't have any characters 6 feet or taller since I think there are too many of those in Cantr and I don't want to contribute to that number. Yet there are also too many characters 5 foot 3 and shorter. It would be difficult to gather statistics on this (I've tried in the past and gave up very soon afterwards).

The closest thing that I have to an "unattractive" character is a very sickly looking guy. I need to work on this, too.

I play a nerd character, but a subtle one. Enjoys math and mental challenges, and is awkward around people, usually not really having patience or understanding for their emotional reactions

I play one similar in personality as well. A mad chemist might be an interesting character, though.

I don't describe "attractive" characters. I usually only ever use objective physical terms. The current one exception is.... well, I don't want to give away the character, so you'll just have to guess. ;)

Whether or not a character sees mine as attractive is left up to the character and the player.

I'm playing a grab bag of characters currently though none fit the classic cantr physique (shining/perfect hair, eyes which either pierce souls or drown them, large.... assets, etc). Comparing descriptions I say I play characters that are generally plain with a 1-3 attributes which could be considered unattractive and usually no more then 1 attractive trait. Example being short and stout with nice eyes or thinning hair, poor hygiene (though not a physical attribute it definitely makes them less attractive :P) but a congenial smile.

Does anyone else OOC (generally) assume that the more attractive the char is the more likely its main focus is either relationships, hooking up, drama or some combination their of?

I do tend to think that also. Plus, I hate godmodding descriptions.
As Snickie, I rather using objective descriptions, it's up to the others characters to decide if my character's appearance and demeanor are attractive or not (and surprising some times, when you picture a character rather ugly and people seem to find it attractive or viceversa).

I hadn't thought of that before but I really like that idea, honestly my character would probably find the tanned blonde amazon/brunette mound of curves/"sassy" (actually comes off as snarky) ginger with mile high legs unattractive if they didn't generally ignore the relationship side of things.
