Yeah, I've started using an online wordcounter instead of guessing if it's too long and seeing if it tells me to rewrite it like I used to, and I noticed when I make a character's description 1000 characters, or 999, or 998, etc.... it says it's too long. I removed a letter until it let me set the description, and that was 992 characters. So the character limit stated in on the character page is incorrect, or there's something wrong with all of my characters because this happened with another one the other day too, I tried putting 995 characters and had to remove a few words to make it 988 and then it fit, so I knew something was up. Just, wasn't sure if you knew this, or if the 1000 character limit is just supposed to be a rounded number? But yeah.. I, at least, can't make any character descriptions more then 992 characters long. Eight letters is a whole word, or two! You can say a lot in two words!
Edit: It's either 992 or 996, because I used multiple counter tools and they said one or the other.. but they're always accurate when they said 160 on the counter (because I didn't want to start the project yet but wanted to have a description ready) and I put it in a clothing description, it never said I was over the limit.
Character description is not 1000 character limit.

Special characters take more than one character. I think it's like quot for quote signs and so on.

Multi-byte unicode characters too.
