Thought or Rant of the day!!!

I went to see a nurse today. Apparently I have an adenovirus, and an eye infection that started yesterday. The infection marker is over 90 but the doctor said adenovirus can cause that. There's nothing that would suggest I had something bacterial, because I don't have that sort of symptoms. The speedy test for strep throat turned out negative. But I need to go back tomorrow to get the infection marker retested to make sure it hasn't gone up overnight.

For those of you that have been asking. Thank you so much for the thoughts and prayers for my mom. This has been a very scary experience and she's not completely over this yet obviously.

Mom went in to have her brain surgery on Tuesday. They found that the tumor (that we'd only learned about two weeks ago) was relatively small BUT had eaten it's way through the bone on her skull. They ended up having to make a 4 to 5 inch incision on her skull to remove it. It did not attach to any blood vessels so it had no blood feeding it to grow but they had been concerned if they waited it would eventually do so. The surgery went well, they removed the drain for her brain the day after the surgery since it was doing so well. They sent the tumor off for a biopsy and found out that it is benign so no worry for cancer now on top of everything else. Today she was walking and getting along well so they decided to send her home. She's got to have someone with her for the next week, she can't be alone but she's being looked after and has surprised the doctors with how well she's doing. She's in a lot of pain of course but the drugs are keeping her rather "loopy" as she calls it. She has already noticed an extreme difference in the constant headaches and balance issues this thing was causing for her. She has a long road to recovery but she is doing awesome. Thank you guys for your thoughts and concerns. You have no idea how much they are appreciated.

Realizing I should have listened to the MANY MANY MANY (read - MANY) peoples suggestions against conversing with a toxic entity. I mean, how can someone have so many people not like them? I give them a chance, ignoring the warnings and holy hell was it a bad choice.

Started to detox caffeine from my body and was doing really well. Totally screwed it up though as I bought an energy drink from checkout line at the store. It was close, cold (hot as hell here) and the refrigeration unit didn't have water. I didn't even think about what I was doing. So here is to starting the process again.
