Re: Favorite Cities
I do want to say that, even though it can be annoying because there's just so many of them, some of these characters are played very well and do put an interesting spin on things.
Don't care about outing myself here because someone already guessed, but just a shout out to the player of Waffle in New Xanth: she is delightful, and she puts a big smile on my face even when I don't have a lot of time to spend RPing. I just hope you don't burn out trying to keep up such a lively character in such a small town, and I do appreciate that she's happy just doing her own thing without needing to be the center of attention or having someone hold her hand every waking moment.
...I guess that should have probably gone in the RP praise thread. Oh well.

Have to say Waffle is pretty interesting. My character wasn't too crazy about her due to her own history but I thought she was interesting. I think I've just seen too many similar characters lately to appreciate it as much as I likely would normally. But she is a good one, I agree.

I really, really love Bhak, even through it's been getting more than a little quiet recently. The people slightly pissy and so dynamic, and we've just got a few interesting newspawns. It'll be interesting to see how they all settle in.

Yes, Bhak is great. I like the whole island, really. Bhak is one interesting part of it, but all five towns, and their politics and personalities, all add up and intermingle in a very interesting way.

Re: Favorite Cities
Currently, Zuzi is my favourite.
Past favourites (in the last 10ish Cantr years) are Keystone, Pok Desert West, and Pok Harbour before its current administration.
Bhak was also pretty fun. Silkwood was/is great for simming.
My favourite places a long time ago (2-5 RL years ago) would be Aragon, San D'Oria, and New Xanth. I miss the pillowfights in Aragon! My Silver Knight char was great fun to play, though it never got very interesting. My character was killed in the massacre in New Xanth, just when it was getting to be really fun. I also miss the old Scarab Haunt - I started getting "sleepy" around the time the BDF took charge, and my char ended up in Midgar. Midgar was pretty good (I remember Jeremy and Dunder the best) but I unsubbed shortly after.

I've been to a few places on Shai/Terrogotha and I didn't like any of them. That would be Bhak, Nraam, Dhung and maybe even another.
Zuzi though... I really like that place. It's probably one of my favorites.

Man, from what I've heard, I wish I was around during that time. San D'Oria is currently population... one? if my memory is correct. There was some ancient old dude, and my char, who spawned when a traveler passed by. My little girl and the old dude got into an interesting relationship that mainly consisted of him letting her smack him upside the face daily and watching her do the same to herself before they sat down together and ate food back to health. She eventually killed herself out of boredom. Her legacy: a half-disassembled anvil.
I wonder about the history of that man.

My newest character spawned in San D'Oria, and there's a good few people around, though only a handful of them seem to be awake, and then only for an hour or two at a time once or twice a day.
I need to get one of my characters to travel a bit so I can have some real input on this thread.

Huh? My character lives in San D'Oria and there's 30 people, and a few are awake consistently every day, and my character is awake all day, I know because I stare at the screen waiting for opportunities to have him speak up, sometimes he even runs in and outside just to show he's awake.. so... There's at least one awake all the time, I only sleep for about one and a half cantr hours if that and I'm on cantr the entire time I'm awake, it would be annoying if my character just talked to himself all day though, but he's certainly not asleep =P

Huh. I saw there's a bunch of people, but I rarely see them talking. Maybe because she's inside? The window's open, but I think I can't see people exit/enter buildings I'm not in. (Still figuring out a few minor things, whoops.)

Re: Favorite Cities
Yeah, some people move or work all day but don't speak aloud. The Knights are awake usually though, they kind of have to be, they're not always talkative though. And sometimes it's sleepy for a few days and wakeful for a few more, it depends. But definitely one of my favorite cities =) And yeah being inside will hide a lot of activity.

San D'Oria is another of my least favorites. I only went through twice, and both times the people seemed unfriendly with only one character even introducing herself. And that was basically all she did.

Re: Favorite Cities
That may be it then. My San D'Oria character is fairly new so it might have just been a sleepy spell she spawned in. And it's not like she can initiate conversation on her own. (Whoops outed but people have probably already guessed.)

The crazy town. That's all I'll say by way of naming it.
Not a day goes by without me checking my char and having a laugh at the frolics of the whole town. How can so many peculiar chars can come together, I know not.
