Jewelry in Cantr

Postby SekoETC » Tue May 06, 2014 1:55 pm

I made this Excel chart of what we have so far. Looks like the rings are well covered but there aren't too many options in the other sections.

If you could pick any empty slot on the chart to fill, which one would you pick?

Edit: It only has the ones that involve gems or pearls, not plain metals or beads.

I feel silly for asking this, but what do the numbers represent?

How many of such items are in the build menu. For example for jade bracelets, there the plain jade bracelet and the macramé bracelet. Neither of them contain gold or silver, so they are in the "other" section. As for the ½s, these are items that contain both gold and silver, so they are half in each category.

A pearl bracelet of some kind might be nice. Pearls seem under-represented.
Maybe a ruby bracelet as well - something with another metal.

What I really would like to see is more uniformity in the jewelry.

I mean, (extremely random example) if you can make a silver ring with a big diamond, there's no reason that it wouldn't be possible with gold, I think.

I do understand that this would make the clothing list really, -really- long, though...

If there was an automated system where you could pick the materials and clothing slot and it would generate an item based on them, that would be cool.

Definitely a yes for the platinum jewellery.

I also made a similar table for clothing, but it's so big that I couldn't take a screenshot of it, so I'm sharing it as a htm link. It doesn't cover all the clothing but most of them anyway.

I think there should be more anklets, and jewellery for other things like sapphires, ruby, jade and topaz. Also I think some more gems would be great, like tanzanite. ;) Gorgeous, shiny tanzanite~

If we started adding more gems, I would start with amethyst since they're purple and there are no other gems of that color in Cantr, while we already have green, red and blue, and topaz can be either yellow or blue.

By the way, I found this awesome picture of a turquoise bead necklace. If there was just a plain turquoise bead necklace, it could be custom described as a skull necklace.

Tanzanite can be purple too, based on its grade. :P

Then there's tourmaline, which can have multiple colors in one stone. That's neat.

Tourmaline is awesome stuff. It's funny, I'd never thought of tanzanite as anything but purple.
