"Baby" accents. I've come across it once and I have difficulty keeping my character sane around it. Baby talk is not attractive on an adult. Anyone in real life that talked like that would not be so happily accepted.

Do you know who else in real life would not be happily accepted? Those who are intolerant of other people's uniqueness. Just sayin....

I understand what you are saying. I applaud individuality. It's just... there's a different between uniqueness and absurdity. If a character can garnish a town's love with that kind of talk, more power to them. I just personally don't like being around it.

The baby talk is annoying.

This is a thread for things that annoy us about Cantr. If we were all completely tolerant of everything, this thread wouldn't exist.

Agree whole heartedly to this. It is very annoying and my characters find themselves having a hard time being around it as well. In fact mine have moved away from it. I don't find it unique, I find it as un creative as you can get.

Absolutely no character description. Sometimes it bothers me and at other times I am fine with it because I just make up my own mental image.

I'm having a hard time being around it myself, but my character is too nice to feel the same way I do. I couldn't imagine living around it and would move in a heartbeat if I spawned around it. I've seen accents done a handful of times, but this is absolutely the worst. There's another aspect of this particular character that irks me even further, but I think I can't mention that, as it'd likely give the character away.

+2. And I still can't get over those stutters that make no phonetic sense.

For me it's when they have no personality at all to speak of -along- with no description that irritates me, because then there's no mental image to make whatsoever and I can't help but feeling immediately turned off and bored by said characters.

If this topic is going to stay open, a few ground rules:

  • No ranting about how specific characters act or are roleplayed. Keep it general.
  • - " - towns - " - . Keep it general.
  • - " - organizations - " - . Keep it general.
  • - " - players - " - . Keep it general.
  • - " - language groups - " - . Keep it general.

Thanks for your attention. :)

No, you mean someone else who doesn't understand.

I have ranted so long and so hard about this already, so I'll spare you all this time.

Puzzle: What is it with really short women out there? They seem to be everywhere. Is below 5 feet the new fashion? Although, they still seem to have all the curves in the right places, of course.
