Unknown Animals on Path Between Karnon and Karnon Fields

Postby Halley » Mon Oct 11, 2004 3:45 pm

When I click to view the animals on the path between Karnon and Karnon Fields, this is what I see:

Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/cantr/public_html/info.animals.inc.php on line 92

{attack symbol} s, going in the same direction.

{attack symbol} 1 horses, going in the same direction.

I attacked the mystery animals twice with 100% strength, and I didn't get an error for hunting them multiple times in one day. Then I "poked" them with 0% strength. All three times, they were killed, but nothing appeared in my inventory. Attacks against the horse work normally.

From down to up:

966-6: You hurt a horse using a bare fist, which loses 3 strength.

966-6: You kill a using a bare fist.

966-6: You kill a using a bare fist.

966-6: You kill a using a bare fist.

I'm assuming this is related to the recent buffalo extermination around Karnon. This isn't a major problem (for me, anyway), but it's something you might want to look into.

Those are the mysterious ghosts that result when a pack is wiped out in transit. They have no value, no toughness, and disappear when they reach the next town.

As usual, excellent analysis. That is exactly what happened.
