Basically you have to travel down the road or by sea and end up at a place that has no one in it. You can that, at that point, start using a crowbar to break locks (assuming you have one) and start collecting resources, building buildings, whatever you like. In other words, you can settle existing locations - players don't create new locations. (From what I understand, there haven't been any new islands or locations for several years now as that are more locations than characters in the game!)

Everything (almost) in Cantr takes a long time... it is the dynamics of the game.

Settling a town is a big project. It's an even bigger project when you start a place that's ever been settled before. But it can be quite rewarding. But no one ever spawns in an empty town... there must be at least 2 people of the same language standing outside within the last 24 hours present in the town you spawn in. And characters created in the first few days of an account generally spawn in larger towns (larger towns get more spawns in general.)

Simple. go to suggestions and suggest a new island like I just did a couple minutes ago.

Except that it doesn't work. The map is finalized. The only way there would be a new island is if it was the newbie island, and that would exist on a different map.

We really don't need any new islands. There are loads of them. Also finding abandoned places aren't hard, or totally virgin ones. Find yourself a boat and go sailing. Only thing I will complain about is I think there should be more rare resources like flowers on Cantr and Treefeather. Seems ridiculous that only daisies spawn here, and even then it's only in a few towns. In real life flowers can grow anywhere, so why not have them growing on the english islands? (It's also ironic that we have a town called Cantr Gardens, but it's not a garden at all, not a single flower there)

Where did you get the idea there's only four islands?

Four islands? Wow... someone hasn't been exposed to much of the world yet.
*Pats guy_fawkes on the head.* I would venture to say there's at least 60. The majority of English players play on a subset of those, but the Cantr world is absolutely huge, and largely underpopulated in a lot of places. There are - I believe - far more places than characters already, so creating more places simply won't make sense.

Not all of the maps titled as world map are actually world maps. They're just a representation of what the author has seen and imagines to be the whole world.

I think you need to investigate a little bit more. I'd say the number of islands is closer to 100 than to 4.

Well, I assure you there's plenty, even in well populated islands. Travel around and you'll find them.

check out the world maps and atlas in-game. there are only 4 islands. And even if they aren't all world maps, theres a good deal of them are pretty close and I have never seen any more than four islands in all the world maps and atlas I have looked at. Cantr, Shai, Treefeather, and one other I forgot the name of at the moment.
