Yeah, transitioning to a new car can be hard. It's nice that it's a Toyota Corolla. I used to drive a tan Toyota Corolla a lot and it served me well, and my sister still uses it.

It is always weird the first couple of weeks, getting used to a new car. Especially in snowy/slippery Finland, I'd imagine (I also live in a long winter part of the world). But Toyotas are great in general and once you do get used to a new car it's nice knowing exactly what you can and can't do with it... just takes a bit of time.

Well, my family were ill through pancake day, and my non-stick pan became a stick-pan since last year.

So I've just served up slightly toasted French ham, gouda and egg crepes, followed by nutella and ice cream pancakes.

You can't polish a turd, but you can cover it in nutella.

Fires aren't exclusive to summers.

I should know. Every few years my area has massive brush fires, and they're always in winter. Always after cold fronts that leave behind (relatively) dry air and strong breezes that fires just love. All we need is some motorist or camper to make a mistake, or an arsonist, or some animal's staticky fur to land in the right place and boom, massive brush fire.

I will say, though, the winter has been pretty mild here, even for Florida. Though we just had a cold front today and it's supposed to be 30ºF tomorrow night so I shouldn't say anything.
