I have seen some insanely long ones recently but fear giving myself away for posting them, one char in particular. *goes to search turn reports*

Oh, speaking of sort of odd ones, I have recently seen a lot of things being done gently that I'm not sure have degrees of gentleness or if they do there is already a certain gentleness implied in the meaning of the verb. Nibbling gently, blushing gently...

Re: 'Soft Sigh' sightings.
I would like to apologize for my somewhat terse remark earlier in the post and I gracefully accept both Alladinsane's apology and NancyLee's explanation. I must have had a very bad day when I wrote it (there have to been some of those lately). Also, sometimes I'm simply annoyed both by my lack of synonyms and time to write good emotes. That's why this post hit a nerve. *hangs her head in shame*

Its all good Estaar,
We have always had so much respect for you from our days on the IRC and since.
So we all have bad days, I am just glad you are okay with us now.

I am glad to see the 'gently' trend going and I know that a few of us are seeking synonyms for actions we take.
I think that as we tell every story, we can build it by adding in environment and emotion.
keep having fun folks, thats why we are here.

Be well.

4269-6.26: a man in his twenties says: "*he inhales, trying to control the pain and assess the damage, giving up shortly - because it visibly hurts him! [His] jacked upper chest gleams, moist and struggling with painful tremors. He almost seems to like it though, or something, because the looks he gives [them] are some star quality drama.*"
I actually laughed out loud at this. My roommate thinks I'm crazy. x3;
Edit: Actually, most/all of this guy's stuff is pretty hilarious. xD

Look at the way they're getting around that. I've seen this a lot recently.
4344-4.34: You hear from radio at freq. 100: "*there is a grin evident in [xir] voice* [blah blah blah talking]"
4343-4.27: You hear from radio at freq. 100: "[blah blah blah talking] *[xir] voice sounds wry and warm, a smile evident in [xir] tones* [blah blah blah talking]"
4343-4.26: You hear from radio at freq. 100: "[blah blah blah talking] *there is a grin evident in [xir] voice* [blah blah blah talking]"
4343-4.24: You hear from radio at freq. 100: "[blah blah blah talking] *[xe] says with a smile in [xir] voice* [blah blah blah talking] "
4340-5.32: You hear from radio at freq. 100: "[blah blah blah talking] *there is a grin evident in [xir] voice* [blah blah blah talking]"
4340-5.17: You hear from radio at freq. 100: "*there's a small smile behind [xir] voice* [blah blah blah talking]"
I've also seen "snort" a bit in the game. I like that. I think it's underused.

Interesting how the use of certain things spreads. There's also been a growing trend of people starting their radio transmission with a description of the voice. I'm undecided on whether I find it annoying or clever - I guess that makes me neutral to it (for now). Generally, things get overused easily and then I find them annoying.

Back when the radio wasn't too annoying for me to want to deal with, I used to do that. It is somewhat helpful.

I always do this, hoping one day someone will impersonate my character or perhaps recognize the voice and find out that my character is impersonating someone.

Re: 'Soft Sigh' sightings.
*Smiles* was a emote that I could never get enough mileage out of when I first started playing, I find it rather nostalgic when I see a newspawn show off those pearly whites.
The mute characters that constantly use the *writes on ground....* emote make me chuckle, I just picture them wandering around looking for large, flat spaces with slightly wet dirt and then smoothing over their writing spot instead of "sleeping".
The 'sim praise' thread was not intended as an indictment of anyone either, simming is an important part of Cantr that I felt deserved recognition, the 'rp praise' thread merely served as the inspiration. If you feel I was bashing RP I apologize, I rp with the every single one (of the few
) characters I currently have and appreciate those who rp well.

Much like somebody decided to create a 'sim praise' thread in response to the 'rp praise'. It was not intended to be an indictment of anyone and I will take the opportunity to publicly apologize to Estaar and anyone else who might find offense from this thread.
