Unless the name was Oineoruneorutneorutneortiyabsdfer, which was what I managed to produce smashing random keys on my keyboard, it's a safe bet it wasn't actually an original name. There is very little in the world that is original.

I have to consciously remind myself to even look at the descriptions, most of the time...unless a character makes some kind of impression with their RP I rarely bother.

Unfortunately I think a lot of people are the same, I use my descriptions as part of my RP and I know others that do also. For instance, if a character is hurt, I will add the injury to the description, if they have a change of appearance (hair etc) that goes in, even if for 5 minutes.

Saying that I tend to forget to look at others descriptions sometimes if I don't interact with them much.

manufactured drama

Seriously people, there are other, less annoying, or at least more in-character ways to shake things up if you're bored.

I guess you could RP it as them moving very fast or being good at finding the enemy's weak points. At least until you fight the wrong person and get dragged off somewhere and murdered.

It makes sense that someone can be weaker than average but still a good fighter. You don't have to be strong to handle a bow and arrow or a crossbow, or a short sword even. Plus as mentioned, they could be fast and agile, quick to get at an enemy's blind sides or weak spots. They could even be stealth hunters if you wanted to go that route.

As for dragging them away, they could even end up heavy too so you'd be lucky. I have a weaker than average expert fighter that takes three people at least to drag him. xD

That depends on who is doing the dragging, but even a msta expert char can't budge a mwta expert fighter on their own, unless the target char was wounded or tired.
My favourite char is like that. She is very good with a crossbow, though. My other char was the same, but she is now of average strength thanks to a lot of hunting, and can cause 66% damage on a good day. They are both RPed as agile, quick fighters, and that tiny girl (mwta) successfully dealt with a lot of criminals.
Having said that, I have four msta expert, and two skillful fighters. Yes, a huge majority of mine are msta (8 in total), and playing on strength does get a bit old at times.

Dragging must not work the way I thought it did, then...I assumed it was entirely based on strength. I'm pretty sure I've had really strong characters drag weak ones alone without any other factors.

Dragging works much same the way as combat. Mwta expert fighters can probably drag about as well as msta awkward fighters. I've had both, so I know.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. I'm pretty certain that dragging is weighted more heavily by fighting skill than strength. No, it doesn't make sense, but there you have it. Strength does factor in, but doesn't contribute as much as fighting.

There is no "heaviness" factor. All Cantrians weigh 60kg and can carry 15kg. How much they're holding does not affect how easily they are dragged. It's purely skill based.

Actually, what they're holding does factor into difficulty in dragging them, at least past experience suggests that it does. I've had a much stronger than average, expert fighter struggle to drag a person one day when they were holding a full 15kg of stuff, 0 tiredness/damage, and then on another day, when that same person was carrying much less, throw them around like a doll.

That's contrary to what I've always seen mentioned on the forum then. I've never tested it in-game.

Maybe I should edit my post, then. I don't want to give away combat mechanics if they aren't already posted here somewhere.

I don't think it's anything worse than what else has been posted over the years about game mechanics. I'd be curious to know which is correct.

Also I thought the weight was more like 35k? I have experienced some strange things with dragging, the first time I did it my average strength, expert fighter was able to drag someone by herself, but my MSTA efficient fighter can only drag someone at about 66%. The first dragee I know was carrying very little while the second dragee was carrying quite a bit. So...there?
