I have plane tickets to visit a friend in 2 weeks. I bought them like a week ago. And today they tell me that maybe I can't go and, instead of having a week free, I have to work twice...

They made us work today. Yesterday, they panicked about the impending doom and let us go home early, though.

HMRC sent me a refund for overpayment of tax, of their own accord... Unheard of or what?
Storms and destruction in my area. Really disheartening since the damage is devastating. My thoughts go to those affected; left without power, transport and even homes.
