Mixed languages problem

Postby Chroma Key » Sun Oct 13, 2013 7:31 pm

So, when I view "foreign" characters' descriptions, I can view the descriptions as they are, and the clothes in my own language, but their visible equipment is shown in their language.
I have no idea who is carrying what!

Haha! Nice. It should work now.

A similar problem this time.
Whilst viewing foreign characters, instead of seeing their name as X (a man in his twenties), the chardesc is visible in the language of the character, not mine. So currently X shows up like this : X (un hombre que ronda los veinte anos).

The game-change message (I think) I got today was in Spanish... :?

Someone in the Languages Department probably translated in the wrong way so it wrote over the original English text. It happens. ;)

It has happened several times because unlike with regular texts, there's no confirmation prompt if you've selected the wrong language (at least as far as I can remember).

When a foreign character stores something, the item/resource shows up in their language.
*sighs*

Do I need to report this by email instead of posting it here? It is still ongoing and it is very awkward to deal with. I'd appreciate it if someone could at least acknowledge this - so I know people are aware of this problem.

I think it's a problem for just a few languages, but I don't know which ones.
It was a known issue about a year ago. I've fixed it, but probably not all translators followed my guidelines to complete the fix.
