He is still the owner of the game, but isn't involved at all in the daily administration, development and things like that. When we move/improve servers or there are overall financial issues, then Jos becomes involved, at all other times the staff heriarchy make sure things are handled anyway.
What he's saying is, you'll have to write a lot of checks.

Re: The Dead Character Thread
I would just like to thank everyone who was involved in my second try at Cantr, you were all wonderful and made my second experience with Cantr just as amazing as the first. Hopefully I shall return one day.
I was the player of Clyde Gotherd, he was really the only character that I played this time around, limiting myself to 3 at most and never really keeping any of the other 2 for that long (though for the majority of this run he was indeed my only character). His death and my departure from the game had nothing to do with the characters or players around me, you were providing a wonderful environment for Clyde to rp and grow as a character and I regret the necessity of leaving Cantr once more.
I found that my RL activities were taking up more of my time and causing me stress. As a result I was able to devote less and less time to Cantr, causing my RP and in game activity to suffer. Not wishing for Clyde to become a shadow of his former self (I find nothing worse then a character passing their expiration date and sticking around) and knowing that something would have to give I decided to press that big green X.
I have waited this long to post because I didn't want to spoil anything and I wanted to give some time for the situation to develop and resolve itself. If any of the players who were affected by Clyde's death could pm some details about the consequences resulting from his death and the current status of those characters who were close to him I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you and Bon Voyage, Money, till we meet again

That is..bittersweet. My character has no idea that he is dead yet, and she would definitely tear up about it. In all of her years since retirement, she hasn't felt that old spark of usefulness until she met him.Glad to have known him, however short the moment.

Merci was also visible, so the two could see each other. Neither had spoken or moved for a very long time. Reading the account above, someone might get the impression that Sylar had been imprisoned against his will and cut off from communication with Merci and the world, and that is false.
No, definitely not and I apologize for giving this impression. He was dealing with a lot of losses and feared he was losing Merci too. He had a tendency to blame himself for a lot of things and he started to notice her sleeping a lot which she never did. He used to tease her about her lack of sleep and how he was kind of uncertain if she was real or just a really good figment of his lonely imagination because she seemed to never sleep.
Definitely not imprisoned nor cut off from communication.
EchoMan wrote:They both (Merci and Skylar/Michael) died from a heart attack just hours apart, after sleeping for a few years. They were both outside in QFN if I haven't completely lost it. I do not know if that was their plan, or just coincidence, but it was a sad day in town.
I honestly can't recall if it was outside or not. For some reason, I was thinking he was in his home but it's been many IRL years. Nope, not planned. Just eerily coincidental. Probably the creepiest thing that's ever happened in my Cantr experience, to be honest. Heh. Worked well for their inseparableness, I suppose.
SekoETC wrote:I remember Sylar/Michael, he was nice. I played Ayana who died way earlier.
I (vaguely) remember Ayana. He switched between considering her a younger sister and his own child. He was really protective of her and regretted not doing more for her before she died.

Aww. Lost some important people on several characters lately.
I've noticed I still have some on my characters' "whisper list", sort of morbid.
But to those who we've lost recently: you're missed already.

Kind of fitting that Samuel Seals and Ruby Ported died so close together, since it was Ruby's life quest to find and kill him, for reasons I still don't understand.

I don't think you got that name right, though... Sam was a woman...

Ouioui. He's still pretty much alive, as far as I know, which means Ruby failed

Yes, Ruby failed. I just saw him a few days ago, actually.
