How in the world do you train strength?
Or are you talking about the fighting skill?

I hope it involves drinking protein shakes shakes and spending time in the gym :)

Sparring and fighting train both fighting skill and strength.

Hunting trains both hunting skill and strength.

I don't know about the limit.

Does dragging increase strength as well?

There is a strength gap and several people have reached it, although it's not very common.

No, as far as I know.

IMO it really should, but it's at least a good way to measure your strength if nothing else.

I'm glad it doesn't, because that could be exploited so easily.

I think it might. I have a char that did it for years and watched the increases happen, about every 10days he would hit a new plateau. But the rewards are probably not worth the effort if you have anything at all you could better spend your time doing. I know of nobody who can outdrag him now. There was one guy how I always thought might (Ox) and maybe Naedell. Beyond that, he seems pretty strong and was not always so.

Be well

If he was hunting and/or sparring as well, then there was a confounding factor, as they also both increase strength.

He was doing those too, though he would always drag before he sparred or his max would have been limited until fully rested. Hunting with a waster seems to help, though he only does that so that there will still be animals to hunt later. Hitting a weasel with a battle axe seems a bit like overkill.

Regardless, I did notice a linear progression for 30+ IG years but it seems to have topped out for a good 15yrs now.
Since I did not totally isolate the variables, maybe the sparring and hunting did it along with natural aging.
